My mormon friend claims that in the Bible, there is a verse that foretells about the book of mormon. I say there's not. I have read the book of mormon, and it contradicts it self and the Bible, so it can't be right. Nevertheless, I am asking. Is there such a verse?

Please give serious consideration to the following:

The book of Daniel is purported to have been written during the Babylonian captivity of the Jews (around 500 BC). Copies of Daniel found among the Dead Sea Scrolls are virtually identical with the book of Daniel in modern Bibles. The scrolls have been carbon-dated to AT LEAST 150 years before the time of Jesus.

In Chapter 9 of the book of Daniel, it is prophesied that 483 years will transpire from the "...time of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the arrival of the Anointed One, the ruler...".

This decree from Artaxerxes (King of Babylon) has been found and it was dated. Adding 483 Hebrew years (their calendar was only 360 days) gets you to the date of March 30, 33 AD. This is the date of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem prior to his crucifixion.

How can you explain such an accurate prediction. If you think it was a lucky guess, please calculate the odds of this explanation.

If of an organized faith or not:

1.Do you believe in God or an "after life" because you're afaird to die? Is that the only reason? You're scared of DEATH?

2. Is your faith based purely off tradition? "Because my mommy and daddy told me so." know what I mean?

3. Do you consider the outspoken atheist of today (Dawkins, Hitchens, Dennette, Maher etc) to be a threat? Do pay them any attention?

4. How do you prove your belief with proof? Do you feel you need to?

5. Do you feel the atheist, the secular community will be the majority in the future? Like in other countries? (Even though that's up for debate. Other countries my be as secular as we think.)

6. And lastly. . .final thoughts? Wanna add something? Personal comments?

I ask these question with genunine curiousity. Looking forward to your answers.

I don't mean you any harm you have every right not to believe (for lack of a better word) if that is what makes you happy,You do not make any sense! Okay i'm not really sure what his name was, but he was an activist and his first name was John.. i think it was Venai or Vennal or something. He helped a lot of the poor and unfortunate people in the world and i was hoping to do a priject on him. I often wonder why it is that muslims follow Jesus more than infact most Christians themselves do. For example and this is just one of many that i will have to ask.

How did Jesus used to greet people?
was it Hello? Hi? No.... It is the same way muslims till this day say it ''Peace be unto you''

So why dont you Chrsitians say it? You may say that time has changed but does that your values change?
