Teach them about the rewriting of American history. There are a lot of good books, movies etc. to use. We just did a lesson from One Nation Under God and they watched the DVD. They loved it. They need to get it from church. They certainly won't get it from school, Unless they go to Christian School. God bless!!

I'm including this link because when you search for the One Nation Under God DVD almost all you can find is a homosexual agenda movie called by the same name.

I'll go ahead and add some good book links as well...

Whatever you teach if it involves the bible it will be a powerful message. All scripturally based messages are powerful but powerful isn't the point, the question is, is it relevant? Now first off in your daily bible studies you should be standing in the presence of God having your heart ripped out and shown to you, which is what should happen every time you open the bible and read, you should come away from your time with God with at least 3 life changing insights that you can string together in a sermon if necessary, so that's a minimum of 21 life changing points per week overwhelming you (as indeed anyone who stands in the presence of God should be overwhelmed) so that you can put together a sermon at a momen'ts notice and adapt it to whatever circumstances arise. Armed with this ability you now need to socialise with everyone in the group with no pretense, if people feel at ease with you they will tell you what's on their mind and what their problems are, you then need to take their problems on your shoulders as if they were your problems, pray and meditate about those problems research as much as possible and compose your sermon so that it addresses as many issues as possible, sprinkle in a joke at the start and a joke or two during the sermon between points so stop it getting too heavy and a really rousing and inspiriational conclusion with a catch line that everyone will remember. Good luck.

That the lord wants them to come unto to him and remember thy creator in thy youth.... I think these are both good scriptures to use to open up the minds of the young people today. I would called it " Jesus wants You , if no one else does" . I hope you also add for them to keep their eyes looking to Jesus because he will never lead you astray.

Responsible sex practices. Granted, you don't want to encourage them to have sex, but if they ever think that they might be tempted in the least, they need to be prepared to do so responsibly.

For years, the church has taken the opposite tract,w with disastrous results. It's time to face facts and deal with potential problems in a realistic manner.
