Kathryn Johnston, 92, was murdered by police in her own home, in Atlanta in 2006. How many people are murdered by cops in their zeal to exterminate marijuana users?

(Plainclothes narcotics officers burst into Johnston's home Nov. 21, 2006, using a no-knock warrant. Johnston was killed during the raid in a hail of nearly 40 police gunshots.

Prosecutors said the officers obtained the warrant by falsely telling a judge that an informant confirmed drug dealing at the home. The informant later told federal investigators he was told by police to concoct the tale. Prosecutors also said that one of the police officers planted three bags of marijuana in Johnston's home as part of a cover-up after no drugs were found. The suit accuses officers who raided the home of violating Johnston's constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and seizures and the use of unreasonable and excessive deadly force. It cites witness tampering in its racketeering accusation.

My Thanksgiving thanks is:

Thank you Lord that even though my husband is sick & I am staying home with him, I can cook the Turkey Thanksgiving dinner myself & have healing time with my husband.

Thank you Lord that I can be with my family back in my home town & my family elsewhere this Thanksgiving in my memories.

Thank you Lord that even though my daughter (in her last month of pregnancy) has to work in the hospital four days/12hr shifts in a row this Thanksgiving, you are going to answer my prayer request that you send sufficient Winged Angel hospital nurses to help all patients & that healing & physical patient ability will improve greatly so all will have much to be thankful for even in the hospital.

Thank you Lord for my husband making the decision (asking for prayers from family for strength) to quit drinking alcohol. That he will he able to quit drinking & liver heal above & beyond all expectations this New Year.

I'm really confused on what I would call myself. I have a deepr problem which makes me unfit to being religious or living secular: I fantasize in being in total anarchy and having no responsibilities. Life for me is just a joke and all I want to do in life is be an entertainer of some kind like an actor, flim maker, cartoonist, and magician. I hate team sports though because I hate rules. I don't care much for singing either. My parents want me to study business and law so I can make a living and say that my life would be easier but that's boooooring!!!

The article said " the most notorious atheist " has converted at age 84. It said it was because of his DNA or a condition called " aphasia "....certainly not simple faith given by Jesus of course. What next ? These guys have us with a tricky DNA that gives us faith or if youre old its " aphasia ". What next if we dont buy that ? Nose hair ? Do you guys have nose hair faith ? LOL

I am Thankful for good friends and I am thankful for the friends that I have made on this site. I am Thankful that I have a nice warm place to live, I am thankful for my family. My Dad's body was layed to rest yesterday but the Lord called him home on Sunday,I had such wonderful support !God is so wonderful and I feel blessed to have had a Preacher for a Father.

Cannot understand it at all. Believe me, I grew up in a Christian society...then I opened my mind and researched into it...(I was deemed Atheist for a few years) and finally after a long drawn out confusing struggle with my mind..I eventually concluded that the human race will never know for certain so I can't say if anything exists or not. I really don't consider it to be a lazy concept at all...or did I just take the long route? Lol!

Our daughter started to date a young boy in college this past fall, we have met him a few times and have met his parents, they live about 10 miles from our home. Well anyway, he told us that he was an atheist...he seems to want to tell us that nearly constantly. (We are Christian) he tells us we are stupid to believe in God and we do it out of our own ignorance, we really weren't that insulted, he's young. I called his father the other day and we spoke, he just laughed and said don't worry about his new found adventure, the year before he wore only black with chains with numerous body piercings etc and before that he protested capatlism. I say's he wants nothing for Christmas because of the "Christian Crimes" LOL... but
we hate for him not to recieve anything from us...they will be here together Christmas day. He asked our daughter to take down anything "religious" in our house, bibles, pictures of Christ etc...we will do that so he won't be uncomfortable.

I know that women are required by the Koran to cover. But they cover their faces only as custom, to imitate the Prophet's wives. So why don't men go a step further than required and wear hijab to show their faith publicly, too? I think it is too much of a bother for them to do something like that.

Although this question may sound a bit crazy, I am sincerely interested in the answers.
