Feel free to cite a link to this article.

Funny, I just looked up aphasia. Since it's the loss of the ability to understand or produce language, I have to wonder how credible that article was.

You're possibly referring to Daniel Dennett, who is only 65, but who had been an atheistic philosopher for decades, but recently moved to a more deist's type of presentation. This is hardly an event equivalent to "conversion," because he still does not perceive direct divine intervention, but instead that there is perhaps a "higher purpose" to the evolutionary process.

One word of criticism directed toward him (from me) is that he's simply come to believe that he is the center of the universe, an unfortunately common belief among academic philosophers.

Actually Jesus had nothing to do with it, he converted to deism - a god exists but not the one religions claim - , not Christianity.

And to be fair, does someone's words or actions at 84 years old really count more than the rest of their life? If I make stupid claims like that at 84 I hope people just put it down to senility.

Aphasia is an inability to speak....usually after a stroke.

Your question is difficult to understand... better cite a news link...

Anyone converting to a religion following a cerebral event, like a stroke in old age, is being exploited... not converted.
