Kathryn Johnston, 92, was murdered by police in her own home, in Atlanta in 2006. How many people are murdered by cops in their zeal to exterminate marijuana users?

(Plainclothes narcotics officers burst into Johnston's home Nov. 21, 2006, using a no-knock warrant. Johnston was killed during the raid in a hail of nearly 40 police gunshots.

Prosecutors said the officers obtained the warrant by falsely telling a judge that an informant confirmed drug dealing at the home. The informant later told federal investigators he was told by police to concoct the tale. Prosecutors also said that one of the police officers planted three bags of marijuana in Johnston's home as part of a cover-up after no drugs were found. The suit accuses officers who raided the home of violating Johnston's constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and seizures and the use of unreasonable and excessive deadly force. It cites witness tampering in its racketeering accusation.

Unfortunately, probably more than we think.
I do not know this story, but I know of others. We have serious problems in this country with crime and drug abuse. Sometimes we have over zealous police, even some are out right criminal. But the majority are good honest people attempting to fight crime with their hands tied, and a public that will not help. Crime is getting out of control, and with it so will law enforcement. The everyday citizens have to unite and fix this problem. Not only do we need to fight crime, but we need to fix the court system and all the liberal judges we have found ourselves with. This will only get much worse until we take very drastic measures.

I'm afraid there are many more of these incidents. More than the media will cover unless it is negative enough to merit a slot on the news. Usually fault finding and criticizing the defects of the movie stars. Then they run it in the ground, day after day after day. The news has turned into a gossip column. Pitiful isn't it?
