surprises you about Pharaoh's response? What that would be?

And why do you think he was willing to put up with the frogs for another day?

I know that all of you do not believe the Bible is true, but if you know the Bible story, would you please answer it from the Bible message point of wiev? Thanks.

Had to look this up and read some commentaries as I really had no idea. Two main ideas were presented and both seem plausible. One is that Pharaoh hoped the plague would clear up by itself and thus he would not be beholden to God or Moses for doing it. The second possibility is he underestimated God and did not think God could do it quicker than that.

My personal first thought was this. Pharaoh wanted to act like they did not bother him. Pharaoh being macho. Moses asks when he would like the frogs gone. And pharaoh is all nonchalant. I would like them gone but tomorrow is soon enough as I am not really bothered by them. I kind of see Pharaoh just wanting to act macho like nothing bothers him.

So that pharaoh can see the greatness of God. There is no one like God.

Pharaoh could have wished for the plague to leave as soon as possible but in his mind the frogs can just leave them alone. Pharaoh said "tomorrow", then Moses said the frogs would leave except the nile. This would establish Moses' authority...if he was really a man of God.

Remember there were 10 plagues. Pharaoh's heart was hardened. He kept of bargaining with Moses and moreso, the Lord. His responses also has authority.

I agree, it is a surprising response. Why did Pharaoh not ask for them to be gone immediately? That would have been a greater miracle than to wake up in the morning and find they had disappeared overnight. I suspect, however, that Pharaoh did not want God proving He was The Almighty God anymore than He already had. ;-)

frog legs are a delicacy in most parts of the world. it could be they were in short supply at the time.

from the bible perspective, invisible pink unicorns could be possible! however, i would be willing to convert, if anyone can tell me the formula the egyptians used to turn sand into fleas during this same event? if the bible is true and without error, then this act of metaphysics is also true, so, let's see it.
