Vinslave has a pretty good answer here. Men do have a form of Hijab as well. They are to be covered bare minimum from navel to knees. When it comes time to pray they are supposed to cover their shoulders as well. As much as a woman is supposed to guard her body a man is supposed to as well. True hijab begins with the concept of lowering your gaze, which is a requirement for both men and women. It is sinful to look at a person more than once. Hijab is all about guarding your body, your chastity and avoiding lust. So it is not just a physical but also a psychological concept. If Muslimeen avoid lustful thoughts they will avoid lustful actions.

Muslims follow the Quran,
It tells women to be modest before God and men.
Men are more lustfull then women.
Hair, shoulders, arms, legs are things to be lusted after. They really don't have to cover thier faces, but some of them choose to, just like we make choices.
The men are suppose to be as modest as possible as well, but, they are allowed to show everything from the waist up, if they must. Eg: Working in heat, hard labour etc.
Seems bias but logical. Women are generally caring for children, not doing hard labour. Men are bread winners.
I spent 16 days in Egypt and I never even saw a man's neck. In Canada I might see a man chest almost every day in the summer. Not always nice thing to see. LOL

We women wear hijab for a reason. We wear hijab for modesty and to obey Allah. It is also a protection so that men who we can marry do not see our bodies and have a desire for us when they are not married to us. It is not permissible in Islam to have sex outside of marriage so it is better if you cover to avoid falling into that. Men do not cover because Allah the One and ONLY TRUE God did not command them to. And if they did, it would be a imitation of women. It is not permissible in Islam to for men to imitate women or the other way around. The ppl who imitate the opposite sex are cursed.
Hope I helped . . .

In Islam, it is said that the womens private parts are her whole body. Lady's know that any part of her body can attract a man. Allah the most high also created man to be stronger that a women so Muslim women should cover her private parts from Men because Men are made weak to the womens flesh, they are naturally stronger and they can over power us to get want they want. Allah makes Religion easy so adhere to what He ordained.

According to Islam the men are to be as modest in dress as the women are, but cultures tend to be different, as well as the era we live in.
There are 2 types of "hijab"... the outer hijab you see worn on the body, and the "inner hijab" which is modesty in behavior, not leering at someone else, etc. Only individuals obey or disobey these expectations.

Problem is... you're operating on a limited proxy to reason.
They (Muslims) don't have any such thing.
What they operate on is mimicry: unquestioning obedience inspired by equal parts fear and laziness... whether intended that way or not.
They may be able to put some effort into justifying what they do and believe.... but the priorities are mixed up. Much like christians, they will compare reality to their holy book in order to determine the validity of the former.... rather than the latter.
Of course... as I noted in opening.... you're operating on a proxy to reason.... rather than actual reason. While in some respects it would be considered fair and equal for both genders to operate by the same rules.... what modern society fails to account for on the conscious side is that men and women are actually different entities and operate in different manners, much as many would have you believe otherwise. Some measure of differentiation is required, even if that which is chosen isn't the most ideal.

Men make the rules of religion and the hijab is supposed to hide a woman's appearance from men other than their husband. Women must cover up because of the problems within the minds of men. The men should work on their minds but it's easier to have the women hide their appearance.

Muslim women wear the hijab to stop men lusting for them. The problem is that 99% of these women would not tempt a sailor who has been away for 6 months. They just flatter themselves, poor souls.
