I'm really confused on what I would call myself. I have a deepr problem which makes me unfit to being religious or living secular: I fantasize in being in total anarchy and having no responsibilities. Life for me is just a joke and all I want to do in life is be an entertainer of some kind like an actor, flim maker, cartoonist, and magician. I hate team sports though because I hate rules. I don't care much for singing either. My parents want me to study business and law so I can make a living and say that my life would be easier but that's boooooring!!!

Hey..You just described the Sin nature or Original sin.

Original sin is not a physical corruption, but a moral and spiritual corruption. It could be compared to the Reformed Doctrine of Total Depravity which states that sin has touched all parts of what a person is: heart, mind, soul, will, thoughts, desires, etc.
There has been much debate over the nature of the sin of Adam and how it effected mankind. Pelagius taught that Adam's sin influenced the human race only as a bad example and that all people are born in the same state as Adam was before his fall. Augustine taught that men inherit natural corruption from Adam.1
At the return of Christ and the resurrection of all Christians, the sin nature will be done away with.

You can make a living being an entertainer or an actor. You can make a very good living, in fact! However, any kind of success requires hard work and taking care of your responsibilities.

Just think of your favorite entertainer or magician. Personally, I love Penn & Teller - they're great! I know they both must work VERY hard at developing new routines for their magic show, practicing, getting it right, etc. I bet they work a lot harder than most guys who are running your average business do! But they love what they do, so they keep doing it.

I also love Dane Cook - he is so funny. I am sure he works his butt off to come up with new jokes, practices them, gets the delivery down right, then tests them on his friends to make sure they're actually funny. That is probably very hard work and very stressful.

I went from working in finance to running my own business, and I speak from experience here - when you're doing what you really love to do every day, the hard work becomes enjoyable and it's not like forcing yourself through business school at all. :) Maybe you should talk to your parents - tell them how serious you are about working in the entertainment industry and becoming successful at it. Ask them to help you focus on which branch of entertainment you should pursue - acting, magic, etc. Point out the various people who are successful and happy in these jobs. And then ask them to help you start educating yourself in that area. In time they will see that you're serious about it, and that you know you can be a success with hard work and dedication. If you need to take acting lessons, ask them to help you do that. Magic school - same thing. If you want to become a comedian, ask them to sign you up for some speech and performance classes so you learn how to carry yourself confidently and reach an audience.

As for your original question, I suppose that either makes you a theist or a deist, depending on whether you think a personal god exists, or an impersonal god. A "personal god" is defined as a god that hears our thoughts, considers our sins, punishes and rewards us, and does things to the earth with a plan in mind. And "impersonal god" is a god that is vague and barely present. It created the universe, and then left it alone to do its own thing. It does not care about the lives of men and does not cause things to happen on the earth. Theists believe in a personal god, and deists believe in an impersonal god.

Don't worry about what to call yourself - it's not as important as whether you're a good person, and whether you're thinking about your future. It sounds like you are. I think most smart people fantasize about anarchy every once in a while. Heck, if the world were full of good, smart people then anarchy would work like a charm! The people in this thread who are calling you names for your beliefs simply don't understand what anarchy is as a philosophy. There is nothing wrong with thinking about it. You are not a bad person or messed up in any way.

And if you believe in a god, you are not an agnostic, either. Agnostics believe that it's impossible to know one way or the other whether any gods exist. If you believe that they do, but your beliefs just don't fit any religion, then you're not an agnostic. :)

Edit: Okay, you're in college. In that case, tell your parents that your mind is made up and that you're pursuing your dreams. Get a degree in acting or whatever you think will help you reach your goals the best. I also know from personal experience that the business world will take anybody with ANY degree, including one that is not even remotely related to business - so if you can't hack it as an entertainer, you will still be able to fall back on business.

You deserve to do what makes you happy without religious constrants that you don't believe in. You aren't stupid, you are just you. Forget people who make up silly rules of what makes a religion a religion- just keep being what you are being and do some soul searching if it bothers you.

You are doing exactly what you came here to do and that is learn, experience and gain through that process. Call yourself 'normal' for lack of a better word. Don't expect your parents to understand you. Be yourself! But remember that 'boring' usually is safe.

Thanks For Your Question :)

Well if you "Think" there is a God then i think you will figure out that he created us for a reason right ?

the only logical reason for God to create us is to worship him !
so by living life as a joke simply you wont be doing what you were created for....thats fine ! but the problem is this is all a test and who fails (by not worshiping God in the way he likes) will sadly burn in hell ! :)

but Dont panic you are still in the test you could simply live life the way you like it but still worship God the way he wants right ?
