If a friend dies you will miss out on their company for a while, until you join them, and if you die you would miss your friends until they joined you... But really, it must be so much harder for those who don't believe in it to lose somone. To them, the person is gone forever and their death means the end of them forever.

Religious nonsense that is. Can't get enough of it? Does it entertain you? Is it more maddening or amusing? Is there a thought in your head that you may possibly be able to rationalize with the irrational? (The irony!)

I personally have hit a brick wall. I used to browse these boards and others alike solely in pursuit of good philosophical conversation. It took me a while but I've finally concluded that such conversations are far and few in between especially on these boards.

Tell me if this looks familiar-

Christian- God is great, he loves you, this book told me so. So if you're really good and if you say sorry for being the horrible person we all know you are, god will let you worship him for all eternity. (don't forget to pay your 10%)

Atheist/agnostic- I'm smart for figuring out that bull5hit is bull5hit (pats self on back.)

3rd party- You're both going to hell unless of course you read this book and follow the directions carefully. Praise (insert deity here).

Romans 3:10. (bible) As it is written THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE.
Romans 3:10:(Christian) As it is written no one can be righteous, no one can.

Romans 3:23.(bible) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23(Christians) For all will sin, and come short of the glory of God.



is there a fault in the Christian view or do they match with the bible interpitation. Please forgive me if you see it my way.


See I see Roman 3:10 as God is yelling at you hungering for you to be righteous.

And Romans 3:23 saying to my soul that one can obtain the Glory of God, but no one has.

If not, how can he really say he knew what it was like for humans?
There's an entire population that he simply missed out on.

I don't understand why people can't just agree to disagree...I'm sick of athiest calling everyone with faith a retard, and i'm sick of christians attacking athiests and telling them their on the way to hell like it will solve anything. What's funny is, i've seen a ton of religious, bashing questions on here and the only one to get deleted was one from a violent muslim...but that's not really my point...Unless your just doing it to piss people off...which I understand...All the religion/nonreligion bashing is pointless!!!!

Question for religious people,and die hard believers of the bible.If i were to write a new chapter for the bible or said that i found one,and claimed that it came from the christian god himself would you have to accept it as gods word like you do with the bible or would you question its authenticity.Would you think that its just a man making up stories to control others, or would you believe it without question or doubt just on blind faith alone.If so what are your reasons

It doesn,t mention in the bible whether there was a mrs god or not. And according to you lot, if its not mentioned in the bible, it does not mean its not real. What about mummy and daddy god, or his grand parents. Even god had to come from somewhere

Then he says, stay away from the devil cause he,s a bad apple. So why doesn,t he unmake the devil and hell, take away all things evil and show his face on Today tonight and then we can all be his adoring children just like he wants us to be. I mean, why give us free will and then punish us if we don,t wanna do things the way he demands.
