Did you learn your best lessons in compassion from the cruel or the kind?

I learned my best lessons from both. When people are kind to me, I want to be kind to others. When people are cruel to me, I want to be kind to others because I don't want to hurt them like I have been hurt.

From the cruel. Mostly my ex-boyfriend. I wasn't much into following Jesus when I met him but I knew God brought him into my life for a reason. At the time I didn't know why but now I know exactly why. God showed me who I was through this guy. 4yrs. of lessons and experiences that changed my life around completely. I know now I don't need a man in my life, I have Jesus. He's faithful, kind, loving and completely satisfying.

I learned it myself,it comes natrual when I choose to show it.Otherwise I keep my emotions locked up,they are not needed every second of the day and some cause many problems.

the kind. i still need to be reminded at times that the best way to fight the cruel is to be loving and nice.

Both, but it was kindness that convinced me I need to be kind. Cruelty tends to breed cruelty.

I was born empathic. I didn't have a choice to learn it or not. It is innate in me.
