When you are talking about rectifying the bridge between man and God, broken since Eden, you are talking about redemption and justice, not sandwiches. How did food enter the equation. Christ fed the multitudes with bread and fish but never once said anything about ham.
No, I am serious. Look at the great works of man: The Magna
Carta, the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution of the United States. All have to do with human freedom and dignity and never once, to my knowledge is ham mentioned. I eat ham, and have nothing against it. I just don't think there was any specific 'go-ahead' on the ham thing.

What psalms are sung?
What scripture is read?
What does the minister say?
What order is everything done in?

Lots of detail is best.
It's for a book I'm writing.
I've been to a couple of funerals, but I was younger, and not paying too much attention.

Thousands of Jehovah's Witness are leaving the Watchtower movement around the world due to disillusion and disappointment. Although the JW Governing body will reason that in the last days many will abandon their faith but that is not primarily because they were "lured" towards another faith. How about you? Why did you quit following the dictates of the Governing Body? Let's pray that the Jehovah's Witnesses here will not vote to remove my post. They were successful in having my other posted questions removed by Yahoo! Answers. Please, I am appealing to the JWs here to let the public decide whether you are really teaching the truth or not. The Catholic Church is Christ's Church. All other churches are founded by men who are in protest of what Christ created. I belief that all the critics of Christ's Church hate the Church because His Church was given promises that their man made churches do not have. Christ promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church. This guarantees to all that the Church can never fall into apostasy. In doing so, the Scriptures promise that His Church is the "bulwark and ground of the truth" which is exclusive of His Church. He said that He would be with His Church until the end of the age and that the Church............

I believe in a greater power. Not necessaily the Christian God or the Muslim god or Hindu gods etc. etc., just a higher power.

I started to think about it, and I was Christian but how did I know i was following the right religion? I mean, the only reason so many Americans are Christians is because they are brought up with everyone around them worshiping God and telling them God and Jesus are real. I mean ever since I was 3 in preschool the thought of worshiping and believeing in God was pounded into my head every day.

For the same reason, thats why all of China is athiest.
And almost all of India is Hindu.

If you grew up where everyone around you told you that the Ancient Egyptian gods were real , then everyone would be worshiping them too.

So I came to the conclusion that so many Americans believe in God because they are in a sense brainwashed.
I believe in a higher power but nothing more specfic than that. What religion am I?

Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? The Bible teaches potentially two viewpoints: Hell is a burning lake of fire which is safe to assume - it's hot and gives off heat. It also references that Hell it is a separation from God to the outer darkensss. Which I imagine, is very cold. Thoughts?

I went to a Christian school as a child, but this question was always left unanswered in my mind. Do Christians believe in the biblical stories as true and completely nonfictional? Stories such as Noah's Ark or Ruth's loyalness, or Sampson's strength. Or do they consider these stories fiction, but take the lessons that are given within them?

I myself take the lessons from these fiction stories. I just want to get a good idea of what everyone else thinks.

Honestly.... when I first became a believer, I needed clarification on some things, because they did not line up with the Bible or the Spirit.

Like: Why do you look for verses in the Bible that tell us NOT to follow the Bible? (Hello, PAULISTS and all grace abusers)

Why is one sin is the same as any other? When the Bible says "he is guilty of a WORSE sin"

Where does it tell you to follow 9 commandments (goodbye, Sabbath!) or to CHANGE the day?

Why if we are "dead to the law" does the preacher ask for tithes? Its in the OT. And its for farmers. NEVER talks of giving money.

Where did Christmas or Easter come from?

So, sin is ok, cuz of grace. Its all paid for. But don''t sin. If you do, its ok and its paid for. But don't. You will, but try not to. ok? Ok.

So, whats up with Christian doctrine?

I believe the BIBLE, not teachings of men.

Yet you blame them for being antagonistic! There is not one question on this screen where a Christian is bashing any other religion, so kudos to them for a change.
"Maybe" some of them DO live up to their standards.
