I'd like to think so, but in the grand scheme of things probably not. I'm barely a blip on the radar. At least I matter to those around me, and I hope I matter to God, or the gods. Whoever is running this show.
The universe has probably been around long before I was, and if I died would probably keep on going.

Do you matter? Do i matter? Does this person next to me matters? Sure.
We all matter to ourselves and those around us. For example actions of the president of the country matter as much as he does to you or me or anyone because in a small or anyway those actions affect you/me/anyone.
So everyone to that extant matters.

Yes. To God everyone of us matters, because He loves us very much.
Everyone can forsake us, even our mother and father, but God never forsakes us. He tells us He will never leave us or forsake us. We may not think He is there at times, but He promises us He is always there.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Trust the Lord.

Is it important for you to have water? can you live very long without any type of food? Could you go long without sleep and still remain coherent? Does your species require religion in one form or another? Well you could put me in the top 5!!!

In the long run, yes I do, everything we do does something. If I kill a bug, I've just killed that bug, that bug's bug baby, that bug's baby's baby, and so forth, and that single species may have evolved into a cure for a genetic disease, and I just ended it. Hopefully my role isn't so catastrophic, and is more important than me killing a bug lol :)

Yes . If we didn't matter GOD would not have sent his only son to be crucified for our sin.
