In a conversation having nothing to do with religion someone reveals their religious affiliation (or non-affliation). They do not continue on about it nor do they bring it up again. Would this be rude?

Depending on how it is done this would probably end the conversation in most situations but would this be rude?

Here is what I think:

We Catholics would never tell non-Catholic Christians what they believe but instead accept their statements of their belief; although, unlike the Catholic faith, there is usually no source to verify their beliefs as it is with Catholics where one can go to the Catechism and see exactly what Catholics believe. Therefore in this modern age of instant information, via the computer, there is no excuse when one bears false witness against Christ’s Church and the faithful. Such actions must, if one uses reason, be intentional prevarification. There is simply no other explanation except laziness. Actually it is correct in saying that one may be a wannabe Catholic but it probably is not intentional desire but ............

I know some groups deny the trinity. For those who don't believe in the trinity can you explain why Jesus taught to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost? Just curious what you think of the following verse.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

I sometimes pray for material things. I'll pray for a test to go okay, or a football game to go well. I feel upset if my prayers aren't answered, and I know that prayer should be used for others, and that I feel even more upset. Does anyone have tips on how to pray, what to pray about, etc.?

How many years did you serve for? Why did you love doing it? (or perhaps you didn't like it?...) Any good stories?

Me and my family were driving from Texas to Missouri a while ago and on the way there I saw a mountain and on the side of the mountain it said something like "jesus lives" in huge white letters. Im not sure of the exact phrase or where it was exactly but I'd really like to find a picture so I'm looking for the name of it, or a website or picture of it.

If you were to sell your soul to Satan, how would the ceremony (for lack of better words) be performed? Before you freak out, I just need a few creepy ideas for a story I'm making.

Let's use as a base definition .....

for Zen: "emphasis on practice and experiential wisdom—particularly as realized in the form of meditation known as zazen—in the attainment of awakening."

And Paganism: "a term which, from a Western perspective, has come to connote a broad set of spiritual or cultic practices or beliefs of any folk religion, and of historical and contemporary polytheistic religions in particular."

i did something bad over the summer. i began looking at videos of tickling on youtube and reading tickling stories on a forum. i broke the habit but realized when i had done that sinful act, it had caused me to turn to from God. I tried to get the strong relationship back with him that i had had before but couldn't. I don't know why but i have so much hatred in my heart right now and i just can't take it. at school during the prayers, i say them outloud with everyone else but the words are dry and unmeaningful. Today i went back to the videos and and story forums and enjoyed them. now, as i think back on how sick it is tonight, i can't stand what i just did. my priest always completemtns me to people about how i have such a "strong" relationship with God. I feel like i am lying to myself and others. I don't know what do do. Please help!!!!!!! i want to break this bad habit and turn back to God. But right now I feel like God is there, he just isnt there for me. HELP!

i just can't go a long w/ being mormon its just insane to me and i have NO desire to be in that religion but i know its true cuz of this really crazy experience i had the other week.
i don't think i deserve to go to hell cuz i have sex before i'm married and like to party. i don't think i should have 2 repent 4 anything cuz the way i see it if you know you made a mistake and your not gonna do it again that should be good enough and if you don't think you made a mistake then you shouldn't have 2 repent cuz you don't think you made a mistake and thats not being real. i don't think its fair for god 2 punish you because you don't agree w/ him. i'm not a bad person but i'm not a super good person either and i don't think thats a bad thing. but yeah i'm not gonna be a hipocrit and go 2 church and be all mormon i couldn't be happy in that church so i don't know what 2 do cuz i want 2 be happy but i know i won't be happy if i'm not true 2 myself.
