I have done the sweat lodge once... it was a positive experience. I ate the medicine and listened as the drums and chanting went intermittently through the night. It had it's own unique experiential flavor...

I have had spiritual experiences in a sweat lodge, but a lodge is not required for me to have said experiences. I have been trained in shamanic journeying, but can also have an experience walking in a forest, along a stream or river or beach--or just sitting quietly in meditation.

Yes. Yes. But I wouldn't do it again. It's an interesting experience, to say the least. You could be sitting there, thinking an hour has passed, but you get out and you find out you've only been in there twenty minutes. It does make you light-headed and sick to your stomach (don't eat too much before doing one of these, but don't go in hungry either - drink plenty of water and NO Alcohol or you'll be pukin for sure lol) Visions usually happen in a sweatlodge... some you can rationalize away... some you can't. I guess it depends on your mindset when you go in.

I stayed in a Motor Lodge once passing thur New Mexico in the summer. I sweated a lot then. But seriously, a sweat lodge is best when used in conjunction with peyote, mushrooms or some other hallucinogenic substance.

I have friends who have had some profound spiritual experiences in sweat lodges. Personally I don't need a sweat lodge to have one myself.

i genuinely have not got a undertaking with human beings doing sweat hotels who're non close by, I recommend you adult men bypass to saunas constantly. yet once you're non-close by you're able to be lots greater cautious. My particular tribe, does not take section in them, so i will not inform you approximately them at a accepted account. although, you're able to comprehend, the tribes who DO use sweat hotels have been doing it for an extended time. They know what they are doing. i've got heard memories the place, white "shamans" killed human beings because of fact they have been green with this form of factor. and that i'm sorry yet till you're close by or an in depth chum of a close by, you will in no way adventure an unquestionably sweat motel. And approximately your "pot" remark, there replaced into some thing approximately 5 years in the past the place a white shaman positioned drugs contained in the peoples beverages to cause them to greater religious. quite, I merely desire you to be cautious and not finally end up on the information as yet another white fool who listened to a pair different white fool who spoke of as himself WhiteRiverMan.
