Isn't it a bit scary to think that "this is all there is"?
I feel like Athieism is a little selfish.
Tell me why you think I am wrong. I am really interested.

Matthew 5:29
If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

-This of course is an analogy of things in our lives that cause us to sin- God is simply stating that whatever is causing us to sin we need to GET RID OF it! Throw it out of our lives! I agree completely and now that I have been pondering this verse today I want to pray for God to reveal any sin in my life, that is caused by something in my daily life I need to get rid of. Do you notice this in your own life? Is there anything in your life that is causing you to continually sin?

So I'm wondering what your views are on the whole controversy with the crosses honoring the state troopers along the side of the road.
I personally feel it is very stupid! Even if you don't believe in God or whatever your problem with it is, no one is trying to force religion on them, they are just honoring their fallen comrades. It is a great memorial to them, how do you have the right to say it is unconstitutional to honor those that died in the line of duty. It is something that is easily recognizable as a memorial, and as some one drives by it they can think of those that have died. Also I personally don't believe in the cross or use it, but I don't want to sue them.
What do you think?

when it comes to the Bible's compilation?

their usual answer when one asks them who compiled the Bible is, "God did it".

and when one asks them how God did it, they don't give a clear answer.

Thankfully, I'm atheist, so I can just vote for the best candidate using my own brain. But good luck though.

In the ten commandments, the commandment on idolatry says that "I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God". The last commandment says not to covet or be envious of anything your neighbor has. Isn't that a little hypocritical?

For instance, if you're Muslim would you go to a Jesuit college (like Boston College)? Or if you're an Atheist, would you go to a Jewish college (like Brandeis)? (Brandeis is secular but 55% Jewish)

Referance a Roman Catholic raised int he south who wrote a short story about an Atheist women who got her wooden leg stolden by a fake Bible salesman.
He left her with no leg to stand on...LOL
You can't judge a book (bible) by It's cover
If you have time to read it, it will leave Atheist wondering if she is against or for religion.
