If one continues to read they see the answer in
Revelation 19:1 “After these things I heard what was as a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven.”
Also note from their own book
Revelation 7:15 in the Kingdon Interlinear Translation says that the great crowd is in the naós. It uses the Greek word naós in Rev. 7:15 and the English under the Greek says "Divine habitation". it means that the great crowd is in the naós, the divine habitation of God or heaven.

The Bible reference you are asking about is Revelation 7:9, 13, 14 about the survivors of the Great Tribulation.
It is on earth....how do we know?
Proverbs 2:21, 22 (AS)
For the upright shall dwell in the land, And the perfect shall remain in it.
But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, And the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.
Matthew 5:5 (AS)
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Genesis 8:21 (AS)
And Jehovah smelled the sweet savor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man`s sake, for that the imagination of man`s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.
God promised never to destroy every thing living again. At the end, it is only the wicked who are destroyed.
Revelation 3:12 Those who go to heaven "never more go out"....they don't come back to earth. Fleshly life is over.
Most Protestant groups also believe/know that the great crowd/multitude is on earth. Why? Simply put because they do not believe in "multiple raptures". Their churches are supposed to get raptured up to heaven and others left to do the preaching work then survive on earth. There is no second, third, etc. rapture in their doctrines.
Ecclesiastes 1:4 (AS)
One generation goeth, and another generation cometh; but the earth abideth for ever.
Psalms 78:69 (AS)
And he built his sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which he hath established for ever.
Much more,
Debbie

The Great Crowd is made up of ones who have an "earthly hope", not a heavenly one. They both are found in God's favor, no class distinctions.
It is in Revelation 7:4= 9Â After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10Â And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
This is my hope as one of the Great Crowd...
“God himself will be with them,” says the Bible, “and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3, 4) At that time, “no resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isaiah 33:24) Everlasting life will be enjoyed by those who please God. (John 17:3)
This is speaking of the Paradise soon to come on the Earth, because the conditions spoken of above cannot be speaking of heaven, because these conditions never existed in heaven... sorrow, tears, etc.

Jehovah ´s witnesses
believe that Jesus will rule the earth after Armageddon and transform in a paradise.
in earth if you read Revel 7:9-13 you will see them going thorught the great tribulation and are the one that Jesus said in Matthew 5:5 that will inherit the earth.
"After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.
10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell upon their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12 saying: “Amen! The blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength [be] to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
13 And in response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?”
14 So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one that knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
"These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, " and that will happen in earth no in heaven.
MAtthew 5:5 "Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth. "
they will be ruled by Jesus Christ during 1000 years.
Revelation 5:10 "and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that the bible uses the term "great crowd" differently in its twenty-four occurrences, but believe that the term is unique when it is used at Revelation 7:9 in that it particularly describes the group of humans who survive the "great tribulation" to live forever on earth.
(Revelation 7:9-11,13,14) Look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes...11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures... 13 These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?...These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation [compare Matt 24:3,21]
Readers will note that all the angels, elders, and four living creatures are AROUND the throne; by contrast, this "great crowd" is BEFORE the throne. Of course, the Greek word here translated “before” (e·no′pi·on) literally means “in the sight of”. Here is the Strong's reference for the word translated "before":
[quote]
G1799 εÌνÏÌÏιον enoÌpion en-o'-pee-on
Neuter of a compound of G1722 and a derivation of G3700; in the face of (literally or figuratively): - before, in the presence (sight) of, to.
The bible uses this same term repeatedly regarding humans who remain here on earth even while they are “before” or “in the sight of” Jehovah God.
(1 Timothy 5:21) I solemnly charge you before ["εÌνÏÌÏιον" or "enoÌpion"] God and Christ Jesus
(2 Timothy 2:14) Keep reminding them of these things, charging them before ["εÌνÏÌÏιον" or "enoÌpion"] God as witness
(Romans 14:22) The faith that you have, have it in accord with yourself in the sight of ["εÌνÏÌÏιον" or "enoÌpion"] God.
(Galatians 1:20) Look! in the sight of ["εÌνÏÌÏιον" or "enoÌpion"] God, I am not lying.

It depends on which “great crowd” you are talking about.
There is a “what was as a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven” Rev 19:1 which is composed of spiritual sons of God, like angels, etc and they are in heaven.
There is also a “great crowd” that come out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tounges (Rev 7:9) who will be on earth and God will be with them. Rev 21:1-4 , Psalms 37:29, Mat 5.
Taken from the Insight book –
An expression that, in itself, is quite common in the Christian Greek Scriptures. “Great crowd(s)” is sometimes used with regard to the large groups of persons who heard Jesus Christ’s public teaching. (Mt 14:14; 19:2; 20:29) After the vision of the destruction of the symbolic Babylon the Great, the apostle John heard “what was as a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven.” (Re 19:1) At Revelation 7:9, however, “a great crowd” is mentioned whose identification has particularly been a matter of keen interest.
In this chapter, the apostle John first refers to the sealing of 144,000 slaves of God “out of every tribe of the sons of Israel.” (Re 7:2-8) After this, he saw in a vision “a great crowd” out of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues. These ascribe their salvation to God and to the Lamb as they stand before God’s throne. They have come out of “the great tribulation,” they serve God in his temple, and he spreads his tent over them. All their hunger and thirst are to be ended and every tear is to be wiped from their eyes as his Son (the Lamb; Joh 1:29) guides them to the waters of life.—Re 7:9-17.
Additionally, the way in which the apostle John introduces his vision of the “great crowd” indicates a clear distinction of identity between them and the 144,000 sealed ones. He states: “After these things [the account of the 144,000 sealed ones] I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number.” (Re 7:9) He thus presents the “great crowd” as a separate entity and makes a definite contrast between the specific number of the 144,000 and the unnumbered “great crowd.” They are also distinguished by their being, not “of the sons of Israel,” but out of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues. They are not seen standing ‘with the Lamb’ as are the 144,000, at Revelation 14:1, but are “before the Lamb.” These several factors all argue that the “great crowd” is separate and distinct from the 144,000 sealed ones.

"great crowd" if I think I know what you are talking about, is what the Native Indians call the "warriors of the rainbow". Some modern people call them the indigo or light children.
research those areas for more info.

If you want to find out anything about the Jehovah's Witnesses, ask the Watchtower Organization. If they don't have an answer, they'll make one up, just like they made up their own bible and called it the New World "Translation" which is not really a translation. It's a revision in which they took a real bible and cut out parts and added new parts to support their own crazy views.
