I am on a team with a Christain orginization, and all the families are Baptist. They haven't insulted me to my face, but I have heard things said about Catholics, in a negitive attitude (when they thought I wasn't listening, or before they found out I was Catholic).
What is so weird about Catholics? I love being one! We don't have anything against Baptists!

I am curious as to how you all enjoyed the new DVD, "Pursue Goals that Honor God". I personally loved how thought-provoking it was. Afterwards, my husband and I both agreed to both re-arrange our priorities to do more for our wonderful God, Jehovah.

Side-note: I thought Jonathan was the best actor through-out the film, lol.

Why does it matter who each other worships? Isn't the purpose to become a better person? Why do we fight? Are we not all people...with families, and loved ones, and so on? At the end of our life, do we not all turn to dust in the same manner?

They can't get their morals from the Bible. It teaches you that you can get away with anything as long you ask for forgiveness. It also teaches that you should behave in order to avoid going to hell or to be accepted into heaven. That's not really being moral, it's being good out of fear or reward.

So where do Christians get their morals?

I was watching a documentary on Moses. A group of scientists were trying to find any evidence that the biblical story of Moses was accurate. At first they couldn't find anything, not even the city where Moses had grown up. Then they realized that a certain branch of the Nile had gotten clogged, traced this branch using satellite pictures, and found an ancient city called "The City of Ramses". In mines nearby they found ancient, primitive Hebrew "Graffiti" scrawled on the walls, and enough stables to hold nearly one hundred chariots. They also figured out that the "Ten Plagues" could have very well been environmental consequences of the cataclysmic explosion of a volcano on Santorini (Which coincided exactly with Moses's lifespan), as such violent eruptions have been known to have bizarre consequences. They also found a mistranslation, the ancient Hebrew texts actually say that Moses crossed the Sea of Reeds, not the Red Sea. (To be continued :\)

In your Qur'an, Mohammad recites several Suras based on Old and New Testament stories, with major differences from the original stories. Mohammad recites the differences are due to alterations ( lies ) by "Jews who turned away."

Today's NT says, Jesus preached about forgiveness for all, regardless of their transgressions or religion. ( Jesus heals the

Cannanite woman's daughter because she had faith in him. ) Was that a lie?

Today's NT says, Jesus asked us to forgive each other in the words of "the Lord's Prayer". Was that a lie?

Today's NT says, Jesus offered a New Covenant, while hosting the 'last supper' shortly before he is betrayed and sent to be criminally charged by the Romans. Was that a lie?

I'm hoping some honest Muslims can explain why Mohammad neglected to "recite" refutations about THESE particular passages from the New Testament, and also explain why the vast majority of quotes by the "Qur'anic Jesus" are nowhere to be found in the New Testament?
Who's really lying?

First off, please, no personal attacks.

A lot of nonbelievers feel that it's 'too pushy' for Christians to talk about their faith to them. But, on the other hand, not warning them would be allowing them to fall into an eternity in Hell.

What is the most respectful way you think it would be to witness to you? And what could a Christian do to convince you that what we preach is real?

If I weren't a Christian I personally would find it sweet that one would take the time to warn me of my impending doom and telling me of the joys of God's love. Why is there so much offense at it?

I've noticed that in the Catholic faith, taking communion is a pretty big deal. What with the First Communion ceremony, and the big line up to get communion. What's the big deal? In our church, we do communion every couple of months, and anyone, regardless of age can take it. We also have it delivered to us.
