Any hard evidence will do... I was arguing with my friend earlier about the existance of ghosts, and I was telling him how not real they are, and he was telling me how he's seen them... I think he was either hallucinating, or he's full of ****, but whatever...

Well, a few years back I stayed at a friend's house for the weekend, and as I was in the spare room getting ready for bed, when I decided to go to the bathroom or something and I turned around to leave the room. There was a woman right behind me (not my girlfirend), for a few seconds, and then she just vanished. (No, I hadn't been drinking or anything that night.) Since then I've stayed at the house several more times. The TV turns on by itself in the middle of the night, lights go on and off by themselves, you often see reflections of a man and woman in the mirror or window and when you turn around, there's nobody behind you to make that reflection. If it was just me seeing this stuff happen, I'd say I was maybe a little off, but when I brought it up, the other three people living in the house described seeing the same stuff, as well as some other things I had not yet experienced. A few times since, we've witnessed something at the same time.

I started doing research on the property about a year after my first encounter, and found out that about 40 or so years ago, there was a murder/suicide on the property - a husband shot his wife and then himself. So...is it their spirits trapped in limbo because of the way they died? Their ghosts? Or just paranormal activities? An active haunt or a residual haunt? I'm not an expert, but I've seen enough to have an open mind about it.

Oh, I also work part time for a photographer and we shot a wedding at a supposedly haunted inn almost two years ago, and while developing the black & white prints in the darkroom, we found something very interesting. In front of a wooden beam next to where the bride and groom were standing - alone when the picture was taken - we saw half a woman. You could see most of her face and part of her dress, and you could see the wood grain of the beam right thru her. No photoshop was going on there, we were both watching the picture appear in the developing fluid. It was pretty cool.

The Atlantic Paranormal Society is not too far from where I live and they investigate supposedly haunted properties. Their first objective is to try to debunk the "haunting", find other more reasonable explanations for the odd things people witness. Sometimes they do. Other times, they pick up some really wild video, EVP's (electronic voice phenomena) and photos....sooo, I have seen enough hard evidence as far as I'm concerned.

How does your friend know what he/she saw? We call things 'ghosts' sometimes without good reason. Unexplained phenomena are often hard to categorize. I wouldn't say 'ghost' per se...

Especially if GHOST means spirit of a human who died. I don't believe in such a thing at all, but have had LOTS of paranormal experiences. I just don't think for a moment that the spirits I have seen and heard and felt ever were human.

Happy hunting...

I'm sure they exist....Jesus talked about receiving the Holy Ghost....and the Holy Ghost came upon Mary the mother of Jesus.....so it is the spirit of God for sure.....But other Ghost I don't know....never seen one or care...I think you can see whatever God allows you to see in the spirit....My mom says after her father died....she saw him at the foot of her bed as real as can be...She said daddy I thought you were dead....He said no I am not dead...and disappeared.....

Your friend is correct they are real.

Ghost are basically spirits trapped in the lower dimensions .....so yes ghost do exist just as spirits, I know I see them since are four, and just a week ago.

No. All atempts to prove their existence have failed; many have been exposed as outright hoaxes, some merely hallucinations or misinterpreting natural noises.

I've had some pretty strange experiences myself, so I don't write off the possibility that your friend has seen them.
