The whole idea behind sinning in a Christian's mind, is NOT to do it in the first place.
Christians are not perfect, no human being is, and when one is taught that there is a life after death no one is going to chose hell because they prefer it.
We all want what's best for us, and the best has a price.
Have you ever worked to get something you wanted...or was everything handed to you for free?
This is the same principle, and only because it involves Christians asking for forgiveness from God, doesn't make them hypocrites.
Personally, I believe judging a particular situation (Christians repenting to go to heaven) that has the same principles which can be applied to any other (working to get money to live), but using the difference of having a specific group of people singled out; is hypocritical, prejudiced and short-sighted.

i think what they are relating is the undeniable fact that Western morality codes are consistent with Judeo-Christian coaching such because of the fact the ten commandments. there have been many cultures for the duration of the international which did no longer share even this effortless concept of "do no harm" so there is a few advantage the declare that they are unique. in case you made a greater specific examination of your ideals you will possibly possibly locate many different factors of morality which you share with Christians and Jews. on the different hand, the guy's declare which you stole Christian morals is the two unhappy and laughable. If, as we believe, our morals have been given by using God by using organic revelation to the human race, they do no longer and not in any respect did belong totally to Christians. i might say which you have embraced area of that morality, despite the fact that in case you include the source or no longer. the guy ought to have been chuffed to locate undemanding floor with you instead of insult you. I be apologetic approximately a fellow believer replaced into so rude and callous to you.

In the development of Plato's Republic he puts forward his argument concerning absolutes in regards to morals. Plato said that without a moral absolute, morals are relative to the individual or to a ruling party as with Russia or a dictatorship. In other words, Plato is saying morals are impossible without an absolute. He knew that society could not develop sufficient morals because humanity is finite. Jean Paul Sartre said correctly that finite things apart from an infinite integration point are meaningless. The Bible doesn't teach that we can do anything then just ask for forgiveness and things will be sweet. It says in Roman's that we shouldn't make occasion to sin, but if they do, then repentance is necessary. Christianity begins with the Trinity in the first verse of Genesis because what we do as personalities can only be explained this way. Love and communication have always occurred between the three members of the Trinity. Three personalities whose mutual reciprocal actions between them denote one God who is the moral standard of the universe. Christian's get their morals from the character of their God and this is explained through the entire Bible with references to God righteousness, holiness, love, joy and so on. The real question here is where does secular society get its morals from. I think you might be horrified when you discover that morals exist in our modern society only as a romantic idea. The Bible gives absolutes where nothing else does. At the end of the day when you have done your homework you will find that morals apart from the biblical tradition are relative to the individual.

They make them up as they go along. It they don't turn out right they blame the devil. If they turn out they tell you it was g_d doing it. They don't lose. G_d is on their side. Just ask them. Plus, they talk to or with g_d directly and can convey all his thoughts to you at will. They are amazing. Such knowledge.
If they read their holy [should be hole-e] book those morals are: to dash babies against the walls, stone their children for disobedience, rip open pregnant women, kill their neighbors and/or all the disbelievers and then - after the good deeds completed - claim - as their savior JC. They have it made. No lose situation. Morals - LOL!

Someone said that in the eyes of god, all sin weights the same. I take that to mean a sin is a sin is a sin. No matter what. Which makes me wonder, If thinking about a sin is just as bad as doing the sin, Why not do it? I mean gods not going to look down on you any more or less, cause all sin weights the same. You're going to sin anyways, so why not do what you want? It doesn't matter, as god will judge you the same as a murderer, why not be one?

You haven't misinterpreted the Bible, you know nothing of it. You are cynical and your sarcasm drips all over.
You cannot "get away" with "anything" as long as you ask forgiveness. You must REPENT, not simply "ask for forgiveness." The full Biblical definition of repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action. What you are suggesting is that a Christian can continue going along killing, murdering, raping, stealing, whatever, as long as they say at the end of the day, "forgive me Lord," then everythings alright, and the next day, they go along killing, murdering, raping, etc. This is NOT the case. With true forgiveness comes true repentance, and with true repentance comes the change in actions... we do NOT go along murdering, raping, stealing, etc. If we did, we are in fear of losing our redemption... but that's another issue.
The Bible also does NOT say that we avoid hell when we "behave" ourselves. NOTHING we can DO can save us from hell... we are ALL GOING TO HELL... for that is the price of sin. We can "behave" ourselves ALL we WANT, but it won't do us any good, for there is nothing we can DO that can earn our salvation. Even Mother Teresa, with ALL her GOOD WORKS will NOT go to heaven BASED ON THOSE WORKS. Nope... it is her FAITH in Jesus that has justified her soul to God and allowed her to "avoid going to hell."
Morals are a set of principles of right and wrong in behavior, and that set, for Christians, come from the Bible. We do not behave "correctly" because we fear punishment NOR because we desire reward. We behave "correctly" as a result of our salvation, as a reaction to the joy we feel because of the Lord's love. Our behavior is a result of repentance, a change of heart and behavior. It is like a "knee-jerk" reaction to our thankfulness, and our desire to do God's will because we love Him and He loves us. We do not do it to earn or expect any reward. We do not do it to avoid hell or punishment. We "behave" ourselves because it is the right thing to do, and we want to do what is right in God's eyes.
Have a blessed day.

I got my morals from Jesus, I try to follow His teachings. My parents never set a good example, and neither do any political leaders or anyone else I've met. I've learned that following other humans will get you no where because no one is perfect.
