I was baptized into Christ, born again, Rom. 6, at the age of fifteen.

I recieved the baptism of the Holy Spirit about five years later.

And then I received the baptism of water in a creek not far from our church.

Note that I list three baptisms. Yet, only one baptism saves us. Eph. 4:5

Modern day religions do not look upon salvation as baptism. Yet, without this baptism, a man cannot enter the kingdom of God. John 3:5-7

It is this baptism that baptizes believers into the body of Christ. And it is through is blood.

I was 7 years old and yes I remember it. The church I was going to at the time decided to have a baptism. I wanted to be baptized and the pastor agreed. We had the baptism at a wide and deep spot in the creek. I still remember being taken under and brought back up. It was a great experience.

Well I don't remember my baby Baptism but that was just a dedication anyway. I was born again and stood in a pool with my old white jeans and a shirt under a white gown in 1986 when I was 32, and the pastor said his words and asked me to accept Jesus and I said yes, and he laid me back gently under the water and brought me up and he and his wife and family all smiled and it was a great feeling. I felt renewed by God and had a renewed spirit of gratefulness for his love, grace and mercy. BUT this was not when I was first reborn. I was convicted to accept Jesus sitting on a plane headed for Wash. State and I cried like a baby, and then I had this honnymoon with the Lord that lasted about 3 months where he was everywhere I looked and went. Not every one has this kind of experience but that was mine. Then I went church hopping on Sundays till I found a church that I could live with most of what they believed in. I say most because there is no perfect church and won't be till He comes back. Why do you ask?

Because I was an adult, I had thought that there would have been more education preceeding it. Ordinarily, the "dunkees" were from the church's youth classes so they had been taught many things far ahead of time.
When I was an infant, I had no memory, only what I had been told of it.
When I received the Spirit, that baptism was and is indescribable. There was an overwhelming sense of everything. If I had to put words to it, perhaps love, conviction, gratitude, all at once, and a tremendous weight I could feel had been lifted from me.

I wish I had waited till I was older....I was 12 and I was baptized with another girl..We both were put under at the same time......We were just kids. We looked at each other and started laughing...and came up choking and strangling....But receiving the Holy Ghost was a special moment....I felt I was on another planet...I was only 9 years old.....That ghost in me is my teacher, helper and comforter.....he is always with me in times of trouble.....The thing I have most noticed about this Holy Ghost in me is that I cry easily when a spiritual poem is read or when I hear others mention that precious name of Jesus.....And I get chills when talking about spiritual things.....But I actually feel the Holy Ghost's presence...I abhor sin and don't want to hurt Jesus in any way.....
Everyone needs baptized with the Holy Ghost........

The water in the font was heated over night with a stock tank heater... it was left on too high and too long. it was like a hot bath... not to bad for me...but the pastor was just about cooked after doing 4 in a row.

The Baptism of The Spirit is the one that counts...and that occured over a year before... it was an event that will never be equaled in my mortal life... there are no words to tell of it... it was such a personal and intimate thing... the actual event was only a moment of time...but it seemed to be much longer... I experienced so much in those seconds that even no, some 7+yrs after... I have yet to fully comprehend all that God passed to me.... I do know what matters though... my Salvation is assured... marked Paid in Full by The Blood of Christ... it was just God and me... no man. pastor, priest, involved... one moment I was a mocker of those Bible thumpers... and the next I was one... I was not seeking God... but in that instant when I needed Him He was there... I could have continued to reject His offer... but I did not... Now I belong to Him.

I remember my baptism well. My Dad was the pastor and it was he who baptized me. I was ten years old and I remember walking up the stairs to the baptistry, each feeling further and further apart. When I reached the top, I looked at my Dad and there were tears in his eyes.

I kept my eyes fixed upon his as I entered into the baptistry. I can recall the warm water, the grasp of my Dads hands as he cupped my face and baptized me in the Name of the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Coming up from the water, I could see his crystal blue eyes and the joy they were showing. I remember him helping me to the stairs, out of the baptistry, and as I reached the top, I turned one more time, to look at my Dad and the love....I will always treasure this moment.

I was Baptized at 13, too young and stupid to really know what I was doing, I probably did it out of wanting love and acceptance from my parents.
It was okay I guess. No big deal, the water was warm, that is about all I remember, but it was also 30 years ago!!!!

My older brother had come back from college a born again Christian.

I was baptized at age 23. I was there, my brother baptized me and the preacher was standing by.
I felt spiritually clean when I arose from my watery grave.

My mother was forcing me to be baptized and I walked out in the middle of the ceremony. As soon as my toes hit the water I decided to turn and walk.
