Its confusing when the majority of Christian preachers say that the law is no longer binding, including the 10 commandments. wouldn't that be "do[ing] away with the law"?
If you start by assuming that every letter of the bible is absolute truth, then the correct interpretation of the Bible must have no contradictions. How then should Matthew 5:17 be interpreted?

This is a genuine question. Some unfortunately do not believe in god at all. Those that do have faith. . . .What are your reasons for doubting the credibility of the new testament? I just want to know, so I dont offend anyone I meet. .

The faith that you have in god comes from reading the bible, I hope, so that you may know the true god.

There are many types of religions, but almost all stem from the old testament. Jewish, Islam, catholic which is technically christian, and other specific sects....orthodox, methodist, baptist, evangelical, and more. . . but. . .

in as much faith as is takes to believe thus far. . why is it that Jesus is doubted to be the christ. Is it because you didnt see him yourself? Is it that you were born into a religion that didnt believe it? Even after jesus was crucified on the cross by the jews, they finally realized what they had done.

What are your reasons for doubting the credibility of the new testament?

About death, I know what happens after you die (according the Christian Bible). I need some reassurance I guess, I asked mom and all she could say is "Read the Bible, it's all in there."

I am an idiot but I am asking you all to help me figure this out...does anybody know for sure what happens after death...I mean through scientific study, relgion, ect?

If you're of an organized faith or not.

1. Do you feel you know everything?

2. Does it bother you when you're called "stupid" or without "intelligence" "illogical" for what you believe in?

3. How do feel about the "secular" community claiming the words reason and logic?

4. Do you reject scientific knowledge?

5. What do you say when people blame God for all the bad in the world. The Wars, Darfur all the usual's?

6. And lastly, what are you sick of having to clarify or defend over and over again? A lame argument you're just tired of?

And yes this is a repeat question some of you might recognize it. I got a lot of good answers last time. Hoping for more!

Thanks you very much!!!!

I am a member of alcoholic's anonymous and am trying to improve my conscious contact with god through prayer and meditation. I have several prayers, but not a clue on how to meditate. Can some one tell me step-by-step how to meditate as a beginner? This would true help me since I do not have the finances to take a class or buy a book.
Thank you

Have any other Christians visited the JW website? Does it affect you at all? It makes me nearly sick to my stomach. Reminds me of how I felt when I encountered a demon. Does it affect anyone else that way?

At the Oregon National Primate Research Centre.. those fancy "scientific creationist" dudes have cloned adult monkeys to make more monkey brains and such.

So, is this what creationists believe? I could be a little confused, but I think they want to make human embryos to grow replacement body parts. That's not such a sinful outcome for someone who needs a new lung or liver... or is it?

How does the Bible or the Koran deal with this unforseen development in scientific creationist theory?

Millions of people have been taught that Moses gave the children of Israel the Ten Commandments recorded in Exodus 20:3-17. Therefore they refer to this Law as the Law of Moses.

The Ten Commandments did not come from Moses but from God. They were intended for all the nations of the world, but many of the nations during the time of Moses had departed from God.

Furthermore the original Sabbath (7th day-Saturday) established by God was established at Creation. The Sabbath existed , and was God's holy day before the children of Israel arrived at Mt. Sinai as shown in Exodus 16.

The Sabbath(7th day-Saturday), has existed from creation, and more than two millenniums later, this same Lord, the person of the Godhead who became Jesus Christ, commanded his people to keep it holy.

The Sabbath is one of the identifying marks of God's true church.Note: Ezekiel 12:20; 20:20.

The original Sabbath has never been changed by divine authority.(Exodus 20:8-11). Note: Luke 4:16.

Take for instance the apocryphal book Bel and the Dragon.
Have you ever read it, and why do you think it should be left out of the canon of scripture?
I am looking for YOUR OWN original research, not because so and so says so. Okay?

From the Oxford English Dictionary:

"Terrorism is a policy intended to strike with terror those against whom it is adopted; the employment of
methods of intimidation."

Ok, so doesn't Christianity say essentially "believe in God and that Jesus is the lord and savior etc., etc., or burn in hell forever?"

Sooooo....how is that not a form of intimidation...?

People aren't usually religious because they love God (althought that's what they say because they are in denial), they are religious because they were told (usually as lil kids) that if you weren't you would go to Hell....

God = Universe's biggest terrorist

In Judaism is it a sacred number. In the Vilna Gaon's commentary of the Book of Zohar he states that "the number 666 contains hidden within it exalted and lofty messianic potential." There is even a neighborhood in jerusalem of orthodox jews called "Meah Shearim" because the numerical value is 666. Speaking of the jewish messiah, are you folks aware of what jewish scripture says about what happens when "King messiah" actually arrives? It sounds just like Revelations, and I don't mean the part about christ. Do you feel 666 refers to King Messiah?
