Why do some Muslim women cover their faces then wear glasses on top of a veil?

Couldn't they just see better if they took off the veil from over their eyes.

Simply put so that they can see. Some Muslim women like many non muslim women need glasses to improve their vision. The veil obviously does not hinder their vision, they can see you you just can't see them.

Women who cover themselves do it as an act of obedience to God, as many women of many religions with high moral standards have always dressed distinctively different from non religious women. That distinction being modest, concealing clothing vs tight revealing clothing.

because that "veil over the face" is a way for men to oppress women.
the quran states that a woman should cover her body, like her hair, her legs, her curves, so that she gains respect. Which one would you respect more? a modestly dressed woman, or a girl wearing hotpants and a low cut top with double d's potting out?
The "covering the face" is nothing islamic at all. Not only is it unneccesary, It deprives a woman of her identity. This is why you see it as a part of Saudi Arabian culture.

What's important is that Muslim men suppress their natural sexual thoughts because to do otherwise would be insulting to Allah - who apparently gave them brains that have frequent sexual thoughts to begin with. After all, Allah is only interested in men. Women only have value if they're virgins or if they can crank out sons. Who cares whether a woman can see well through a burka? The woman is not important. Only the man's mental purity is important.

Since Muslim men can't see their women, they start getting odd thoughts about their goats. Then they had to start covering up the nether regions of their goats.

Surah 4:34 in the koran tells muslims to beat their wives, so they cover their faces to make sure no one sees.
