My faith is in crisis. my family is catholic. my best friend and his family is Baptist. so i was curious about the Baptist church and i asked him if i could join him one day. i was never induced, in fact i was a pain in the neck insisting on going.

Ive already been to the Baptist church twice. today they let me accept Christ. my friend told me THAT doesnt mean ive switched religions knowing that being a baptist is in no way a religion.

im positive i havent done anything wrong. its just my faith is in crisis. if i talk to a priest he will just tell me to shut up and do as he says. the reverend wil tell me its ok. so i dont know. i mean, its the same God we're dealing with here right?

Are the godparents responsible to give the donation to the church or is it the parent's responsibility? What donation amount is customary?
Also, as the godmother, I am buying my godson's outfit (shirt, pants, tie) and helping pay for the dinner. Am I obligated to give him a gift, also?
If so, what? I know that he is already receiving a cross and a bible.

Catholics in the past claimed that their brand of Christianity was the truth 'to the exclusion of all others'. Have they stopped claiming this or do they still believe it ?

why do Christians need to use threats of Hell and Damnation and pray on peoples fears to get the message across.
Not to mention lies, misinterpretation and myths.......
if God is the truth and the light tell me the Truth....

These East European Jews have killed off so many of the real semitic "brown Jews" because they are more closely related to Atila the Hun than to Abraham and Isaac.

Their leader will be the False Messiah (Antichrist) who will finish off the job.......

I see the sea filled with drowning people, yelling save us, please help us!!! We are sinking!!! ..... The born again people are yelling, come to this boat, swim hard, keep swimming, don't look back, just swim......I see the devil who have these people captive trying hard to keep them......He is saying come back to me you will never make it to that boat......The devil is saying you will not be happy there, stay here.....Then he sends demons out to trouble those trying to swim to the boat....He causes them to be discouraged and troubled by telling them lies that they are believing.....The born again ones in the boat begin throwing life jackets to them saying, "Take hold, and hold tight. Trust that the life jacket will save you".........But the people would only listen to what Satan was telling them and began going under the merky water...Oh there were a very few that trusted they could make it to the life jacket and be saved and they made it ..What do you get out of this story????

In every cross, picture etc...he looks white, but since he was from the middle-east I presume he was brown. Why is he white in modern religious images?

I know that this question has been asked a lot, but I really want to hear some answers.

Many say that it is because of Israel and Palestine. But I don't think this is really it. For the Palestinians, I can understand the feelings, since the Israelis threw them off of their land, but this does not explain the hatred of Jews across the Muslim world. I really don't think that the broader Muslim world hates Jews because of what is happening to the Palestinians because I really don't think that Muslims care about other Muslims. They blowing each other up all the time and they don't help each other when disaster strikes (think Tsunami).

Muslims have hated Jews ever since Islam came into being. Jews have always been second class citizens under Islamic rule. In modern times I really think that the hatred comes from jealousy and the blame game. Jealousy in the sense that Israel is the only functional modern society in the Middle East and then they blame Jews for their problems.

.....following God's law on abstaining from blood, -AS STATED, by Luke the physician?

**ACTS 15:28,29 (HCSB)

28"For it was the Holy Spirit's decision........29 that you abstain from food offered to idols, from blood, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. (A) If you keep yourselves from these things, YOU WILL DO WELL"( my caps).

--AND ALSO take this warning:

.....Dr. David Crombie, Jr., chief of surgery at Hartford Hospital, candidly admits: “I was raised in medicine AT A TIME (my caps) when blood was thought of as A TONIC. Now it’s thought to be A POISON.”
**Bloodless Surgery Gains Momentum
--In late 1996 a hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A., joined 56 others across the country that have “bloodless centers for Jehovah’s Witnesses,” reported The Hartford Courant. ........"

***OUR STAND is primarily Scriptural but there are many comments like above!
--SO WHAT do you choose RUSSIAN ROULETTE or as ACTS 15--stated?
--And why?
