My Christian brothers and sisters have spoken so well. What could one possiably add to such words of wisdom.Does your brother actually believe that all of those books which were wrtten by these men came from the minds of men that were created by a God that dosen't even exist. That would be like a printing press exploding and having the dictionary magically appear on the wall. I'm sure your brother has his A.A, M.S, P.H.D, B.S., B.V.D,and his L.S.D degrees and yet he dosen't even know his ABC's.Here, let me help and tell him what the Bible says he must do to be saved.A,acknowledge that he's a sinner.B,believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died to make the payment for his sins. And C,call out to Jesus and ask him from his heart and in faith to save him from his sins and to be his Savior. It's as simple as 1,2,3.1,Open the door, Jesus is knocking.2,Ask Jesus to come inside, and 3.Accept the gift which Jesus offers to him so freely."Ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth", how sad.Gods not going to give him all the precious treasures that are contained in his word if he's just going to step over a bloody cross shed by Gods only begotten Son and say, no thanks,I have my intellect,my Doctorate degree and my good works to guide me.Sometimes I wonder if going to College is worth it all, just to sit around and listen to the constant ramblings of mans own vain Philosiphies, instead of just being a man of one book. The Bible, so pure and true and full of all wisdom.Maybe your brother should have saved his money and got himself a K.J.V. Bible for about a dollar at the dollar store and read it in faith actually believing what God has made known to all mankind through his word. It's truly ironic to me that something so great can be so cheap and even free yet men will pay thousands of dollars to be told lies.Faith is truly the heart of the issue.Sometimes when my own children ask me why something is. I have to tell them, sometimes son you'r just going to have to trust me on this one and believe what I'm telling you even though right now you may not understand it all but some day you'll know.

Your brother had already decided God didn't exist; he was already an atheist. To seek God you must first believe he exists, or else what are you seeking? The bible says seek and you shall find. Your brother was seeking an education, and that is what he got. God isn't found in books written by the hands of man. If you don't harden your heart he is there to be found. But first you must realize you need him, and not the other way around.

God is not lost to be sought. We are the ones lost sought by God. "The Son of Man (Jesus) came to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10).
Let your brother get into the open so God could find him easily.

From your post he was an atheist who was looking for God in the research context. Well he obviously achieved his goals. He found the proof of hypothesis, "Is there a God".
Funny but why would an atheist search for something that he apparently already has an opinion about? He after all is an atheist.

in the beginning, if we weren't taught to examine or write as little ones, we can nonetheless see writings, it relatively is, the writings are bodily present. it relatively is diverse with a deity, in spite of the undeniable fact that, as a results of fact a deity, even with many vulnerable objections, has in no way revealed itself as present. We atheists think of it relatively is powerful reason to suspect that there would possibly no longer additionally be a god. I hate being trite, in spite of the undeniable fact that it relatively is an extremely reliable factor: If we are taught with regards to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, that does no longer advise it exists. basically as though we at the instant are not taught with regards to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, that does no longer advise that it would not exist. ultimately, there are a number of achieveable motives why, assuming god would not exist, human beings could seek for for god besides. traditionally, a god or gods defined issues in nature that persons would desire to no longer understand. those gods made the solar pass around the sky, made the earth shake, made it rain, made thunder and lightning, and so on. there is even a narrative approximately why there are rainbows which a lot of human beings have self belief immediately. human beings prevalent this till the greater thorough, medical motives got here alongside. They prevalent those vulnerable motives as a results of fact of an inherant would desire to describe issues, and persons could fairly fill the hollow with a foul concept than no concept in any respect. So, to respond to your final questions, particular people are born with the tendency to seek for a deity, in spite of the undeniable fact that it relatively is a made of evolution. That elect got here from many many some years of our basic ancestors being certainly chosen for greater valuable reasoning and judgement.

This reminds me of the comment by Kruschev, the former Russian leader who, when the Soviet Union first sent men into space said "if God is out there, we will find him". Of course, they didn't find God at all, and neither will anyone else who searches for him in a scientific way.
It really depends on the motive for seeking God. If your brother wants a relationship with him, he will find him very easily.

Because he was looking with his mind, his intellect and not his heart. Its like taking a personal ad out in the local paper for the person of your dreams. If he/she meets these criteria, than surely they are the one. Its an empty search because you miss out on their qualities and personality. Once you get out there and search with your heart you start to realize your own flawed perceptions and how your former ideals were lacking. You can study everything under the sun and still end the day no brighter than when you first woke up that morning. Knowledge means nothing with regards to spirituality. If so, than the lame of mind would be condemned to hell...and yet they are the inheritors of Christ's riches, as they love and seek Him with a childlike innocence that knowledge only squashes through a self-imposed vanity.

He needs to stop studying "all religions" and read the Bible (preferably, the Gospels, for starters). The other religions of the world cannot prepare you for the wrath to come. Only Christianity can protect him from this. Also, we know that Christianity is the "one, true" religion because it's the only one whose founder is still alive.
