I believe in prayer services. We should get together as believers and pray for those that need healing and leave the healing up to God as He sees fit.

I first note that most "healers" are more about raising money than anything else. That is not always true, but generally it is.
Secondly, none of them are perfoming the "healings" that are found the Bible. I went to a healign revival once, and the many said he had trouble hearing. He was "healed", which knocked him unconscious on the floor. Later, I saw him limping aroudn with a hurt back. Hardly worth being healed. In the BIble, we see people who were 100% blind having sight restored immediately, and everyton knew it (John 9). We saw people raised up to walk immediately from a life of lameness. Today's healings are much more subjective
Third, when they fail, they claim there was not enough faith on the hearer. Why then was Jesus able to heal apart from the faithful? The blind man in John 9 did nto even know who Jesus was, how could he have had faith? Lazarus was dead, how could he have any faith? Jesus healed a lot of people with faith, but a lot without faith too. Paul healed in Acts 28 a man who was not a believer. Lets see a modern healer do the same.
Finally, there is scripture which indicates that healings, a work of the early church, is something that was meant to pass away once the church was established.
1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

St Louis CardinalsFan above has it right, healing today is a work of God, not of men. It is providential rather than miraculous, and it is the result of prayers, not of powers
James 5:13 "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. ....... 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him..."

Yes they work but many healers do not deal with the hindrances to healing (as outlined by Sobritzky):
1/ Disobedience/ Rebellion
2/ Lack of knowledge
3/ Lack of faith
4/ Unbelief
5/ Unconfessed sin/hidden anger
6/ Un-forgiveness
7/ Occult involvement
8/ Connections with Secret Societies eg freemasonry
9/ Curses
10/ Rejection
11/ Fear
12/ Ungodly soul ties
13/ Sickness caused by demonic activity

there is a universal healing energy that can be tapped into, and it does not discriminate against any faith, so is available to all for the taking
