Matthew 7:21

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven."

Do you know the will of His Father???

I would like SOUND Biblical Teaching that shows that Mary remained a Virgin after the Birth of Jesus. I am not concerned with Roman Catholic Tradition. I am concerned with SOUND Biblical Teaching. I want Teaching from primary sources, such as Jesus, His 12 Apostles, Paul, etc. I don't want information from secondary sources (Those that came many years later).

The Roman Catholic Church Teaches and Believes that Mary remained a Virgin after she gave birth to Jesus. How does the Catholic Church reconcile this Belief and Teaching with Mathew 1:18-25?

Clearly, the Bible states that Joseph KNEW Mary after Jesus was born. The phrase, “He knew her not till” is in the same context as Genesis 4:1. The Bible is SO VERY CLEAR, Joseph has sexual intercourse with Mary after Jesus was born.

Another interesting thing to note is that in Matthew 1:18-25, Jesus is called Mary’s FIRSTBORN SON, NOT ONLY SON. In order to be a 1st Born, there MUST be a 2nd Born.

Be Blessed,
Bryan

Okay so I was in my RCIA course and the teacher was talking about women and their role and whatnot and then he said that he felt that anybody who says that a woman can't be an ordained minsiter or priest or deacon or whatnot was a damn heretic. Of course he actually put God before the words damn heretic. And he went on to say that even the Orthodox churches are letting women become deacons, and ministers and priests and whatnot. He aslo went on to say that Paul wrote to some letters to women preachers in his day and that Jesus says that what you shall bind on earth you bind in Heaven and what you set loose on Earth you set loose in Heaven. Anyway my response to what he said was that the church's stance on the matter is due to the fact that jesus only picked men to be his apostles to which he replied then if that's the case then their should be Jewish men who are circumisized who should be priests in the church as that's all that Jesus selected to which I had absolutely no reply.

If not, why not? How do you know what rules from the OT are to be followed still, and which are not?

In the bible it says 'Joseph, son of Israel' but then it refers to Joseph's father as Jacob. Which name should I use, and why?

all other things?

The JWs say this passage proves that Jesus is a creature, the " first-created." They argue that Jesus is the eldest in Jehovah's family of sons ( Reasoning from Scriptures, 1989, 408 )

Know that NWT subtly changes Col 1:16-17 so that it seems the first-created Christ was used by the Father to create all other things in the universe: " By means of him ( other) things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All ( Other ) things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all ( other ) things and my means of him all ( other ) things were made to exist " ( bracketed words from the translation )

" Thus he is shown to be a created being, part of the creation produced by God" ( Reasoning from the Scriptures 1989, page 409 )

NASB " and He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation"

In other words, I know that Persia is now Iran. But can I find out who the Edomites are, currently, for example? I know that some of the peoples have died out, but I'm looking for something that would list the tribes/nations in the Bible and who those peoples are currently. Also, I'd love to see what cities in the Bible are currently, like I know they say that the city of Babylon is located in Iraq.

Thanks!

sorry, getting all religious with my questions...was just thinking how some answerers give thumbs up for anything people say that implies satan is cool and thumbs down for answers that say anything too positive about religion or God.

I am impartial being a long time practitioner of Satanism.

Just joking. I'm Agnostic.

im sick of people trying to push their religions on me. I'm Orthodox, however these past years i could say that i have mixed feelings about religion. However, why is it when i discuss such a topic people always glorify their religions and look down on me for not believing anymore.

so im just wonedring, why is religion so important to you?

Okay, within that satire is a genuine question: how many of you had your love of science and inquiry started by dinosaur toys as small children?

I had a pack of cards with creatures from the Cambrian to Paleolithic on them that I got when I was four or five. I'd love to know where they went.

is that a joke, or is it just a way to get back at atheists for all the crazy things that Christians actually believe? (according to the Bible)

Does it really matter if you believe the world came from nothing caused by nothing or God caused it.
Does it matter if you do chants, spells, rituals and all these meditations and all these horoscopes.
Does it matter what denomination you call yourself or what classes in theology or science you took.

Or does it matter what you do in life?
Do you help the needy?
The poor?
The sick?
The disabled?

Do you help africans?
Do you help those people who can't even grow their food anymore?
Do you help those people who are homeless?
Do you help those people who are suffering?

I MEAN COME ON! Can't you stop wasting your time with these piece of crap arguements about who is right and who is wrong? Can't you stop wasting Good money on these piece of crap rituals and chanting and materials needed?
And can you stop wasting money on building bigger "church" buildings.
Can you stop arguing with people who believe in something just because you feel guilty about not helping anyone but yourself??

where one sees a big bang , another sees a God , and another sees a Goddess , and another sees just a source

where one sees creation , another sees evolution , some see both

where one sees people drowning , another sees someone doing the backstroke lol

we all see the same thing really , do we not ?
just from different angels

so what would happen , if we put all our perceptions together ?

Most of you know that my fiance died 3 years ago. well last night I had a very weird dream.

He came in and was very worried, started yelling at me to pack and get out of here, went into my room and my boys room and started throwing clothes in bags and kept yelling, he is coming after you, he is going to kill you, you have to leave know!. then all of a sudden somebody started to try and get in the front door, Dave ran to the door and was holding it shut and yelling at me to get the boys and get out know!. so I grabbed the boys and went out the back door, as I was driving I was worried about Dave, then remembered he was allready dead so there wasnt much they could do to him, then he showed up in the back seat yelling at me again to hurry, they were coming, get out know!, then I got so scared I woke myself up.

Since the bible clearly says (many times....see link) that the world will end either in the lifetimes of Jesus contemporaries, or within the lifetimes of the NT authors, does that mean the world has actually already ended?
