sorry, getting all religious with my questions...was just thinking how some answerers give thumbs up for anything people say that implies satan is cool and thumbs down for answers that say anything too positive about religion or God.
I am impartial being a long time practitioner of Satanism.
Just joking. I'm Agnostic.

No. satan is an implacable enemy, the most vicious, despicable, hideous, vile, wretched being. God gave him beauty, talent, and all the wonder of heaven and God Himself and he threw that back in God's face and raised up a rebellion that involved 1/3 of all the angelic host. I can't imagine a more depraved being unless I took all the known despots, murderers, villians, pedaphiles, pimps and distilled them into one being.
I had relatives who were into satanism and who abused me in his name. I am the total opposite of impartial when it comes to him and I'm NOT joking!
Much of the grief, cruelty, war and destruction that occurs on earth has satan as its instigator. No one can truthfully say, "the devil made me do it", because we've got free-will. But the devil sure encouraged it!

I once heard a quote that said "The best thing the devil ever did was make everyone believe he wasn't real." Think about that. Haha.
If the devil is real I don't feel sorry for him. Because I'm sure he has complete control over whatever he does. Just as god does.
I am not a christian, but I do have an interest in how society, religion, and our culture effect the way we think about everything.

Yup. If God's the whole all seeing, all knowing fully Monty type being that Christians think he is, then how can Satan be doing anything other than his job?
If he is all evil and out of control, then wouldn't that mean God isn't as in charge as he's supposed to be? In which case, Satan as we know him wouldn't exist at all because he is a product of Christianity.
If you're a Christian, then you believe that EVERYTHING that exists does so because God has made it so - that includes Satan.
Which is why I think it's funny when Christians blame Satan for everything bad (including dinosaur bones) because really, by their own "logic" they're blaming God.

I don't believe in either one but when did Satan do as much damage as the Creator did? He never took any credit for anything, he never harmed anyone [except when ordered by the almighty so the almighty could prove nothing except that cruelty was ok] nor did he ever kill anyone, he never said slavery was ok, he never ripped babies from their mothers bellies, he never ordered murderous wars, he never told anyone what fabrics not to mix.... You can guess the rest.

No. Read devil’s comprehensive biography. Who is he, what he wants, what his relationship with human is and what is final destiny and many more.
