Jerry Falwell said it was caused by the ACLU, gays, lesbians, feminists, abortionists, pagans, and People for the American Way.

Makes those 9/11 truthers sound like respectable voices. Almost.

you're the two very naive, or think of something of the international is particularly naive. Al Qaeda is unquestionably against all non-Muslims. wager who's at the back of the present day terror assaults in Russia? - sure, the terrorists have been knowledgeable by utilising Al-Qaeda. the 1st time Al-Qaeda used the "occupation of Palestine" excuse became 5 years AFTER 9/11, and that's precisely what that's - an excuse. Al-Qaeda isn't fascinated in peace between Israel and the Palestinians, it is fascinated in the destruction of Israel, and the advent of an Islamic khalifat in its place.

If we take the nationality of the participants, and their religion. It would appear that it was done by Americans and misguided (twisted) middle-easteners.
Possibly under the guidance of al Qaeda, but by no means has that been proved.
What we do know is that al Qaeda was armed by the Americans to help the Taleban(also armed by America) to throw the Russians out of Afganistan, But they refused to dance to the American tune after the Russians left.
I don`t surpose that helps clear your confussion..!!

I can't believe this is even being asked. Completely nutty people did this. It has only been a few years since the event and more conspiracy theories have arisen than I could ever imagine. It is unbelievable.

If in our own time we question this event when we have computers, film footage, eye witness accounts and so on, how could anything like, let's say, Jesus even be valid? And that is 2000 years removed and people believe it without a doubt in their mind. This world is going completely nuts!

The September 11, 2001 attacks consisted of a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda .

Al Qaeda's origins date back to 1979 when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. Soon after the invasion, Osama bin Laden traveled to Afghanistan and helped organize Arab mujahadeen, creating Maktab al-Khadamat (MAK), to resist the Soviets. In 1989, as the Soviets withdrew, MAK was transformed into Al Qaeda, as a "rapid reaction force" in jihad against governments across the Muslim world.Under guidance of Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama became more radical. In 1996, Bin Laden issued his first fatwa which called for "American soldiers to get out of Saudi Arabia". A second fatwa, issued by bin Laden in 1998, "directed his followers to kill Americans anywhere". In the fatwa, bin Laden outlined his objections to American foreign policy towards Israel, as well as the continued presence of American troops in Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War.

The United States government determined that al-Qaeda, headed by Osama bin Laden, bore responsibility for the attacks, with the FBI stating that evidence linking Al-Qaeda and bin Laden to the attacks of September 11 is clear and irrefutable. The Government of the United Kingdom reached the same conclusion, regarding Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden's culpability for the September 11, 2001 attacks.
