Since the bible clearly says (many times....see link) that the world will end either in the lifetimes of Jesus contemporaries, or within the lifetimes of the NT authors, does that mean the world has actually already ended?

Yea, I just looked out the door, and its GONE!!!

Seriously, The Bible never stated that the world would end in the lifetimes of the apostles or NT authors. It said, "this generation will not pass away until all these things are fulfilled" Which generation? Many believe that is the generation of the Jews. Some believe that the generation that sees the beginning of the prophecies (the rebirth of Israel in 1948) will see the end of those prophecies. That would be about 100 years. Still others believe different things. If you start with the premise that Jesus is God and everything that He taught was truth you need to ask, 'how will this prophecy happen?' not, 'It doesn't agree with my interpretation so Jesus must have been wrong, and He is not God.'

This theory it extremely is propagated right that is a misinterpretation of Matt 24. Christ lays all out in each and each and every step. that is the purely chronologically order of the end time I absolutely have stumbled on. the position The Pretrist get snarled is at the same time as Christ is finished explaining the events he tells a Parable to describe at the same time as those events take position. One has to stop and not in any respect run the verses at the same time. This what occurs with The Preterist view. So after we stop at verse 31. Jesus has defined all. Now Jesus tells his parable starting up with verse 32 and 33. Now he explains verses 32 an 33 in verse 34. 34 Verily I say unto you, This technology shall no longer bypass, till eventually a number of those products be fulfilled. Which technology? the single like the fig tree describes. at the same time as the technology that sees those products take position. The technology of 70 ad did not see those events take position. The Anti Christ did not come on the considered. they have a lengthy stretch arising the Anti Christ and also the events which will be so damaging that there ought to not in any respect be something like it again. One ought to ought to Throw out international conflict one and international conflict 2. they could ought to Throw out the yank Civil conflict , Hitler China's Mao and Russia's Stalin. All of those were extra damaging than what exceeded off in Israel in 70 ad. One has to bear in options Israel changed into already in a State the position they walked far flung from God in 70Ad. They were no longer Gods human beings contained in the considering that God opt for those that observed him in faith. The Seed of Abraham changed into through and in the time of faith. So We do have An Anti Christ a mark of the Beast and proper right here go back of Jesus. One has to bear in options Jesus will go back as he Left . As contained in the first Chap of Acts. This has no longer exceeded off. Oilrod

The world "as we know it" ended more than once; for example, when the scientists finally accepted the nature and existence of OXYGEN!

The world "as we know it" will end again when all of the separate groups in each church/religion wakes up to the fact that we are all God's children and God is the Parent of all humankind.

Doomsayers have been predicting the end of world for thousands of years. And every time the due date passes, they bump it up further into the future. When are they going to give it up and admit that they don't know what they're talking about?

ah, that must be one of the symbolic things in the bible. you see, by "the time is at hand", it really means "apple pie is good and the lord your god loves you and verily shall give you said pie either plain or a la mode."
make sense now?
