60% of Christians believe in evolution. However, this is incredibly contradictory. If God created Adam and Eve several thousand years ago, it would have been impossible for all of the different races to come about, and everyone on Earth would be an incestuous offspring of them. Several thousand years is not nearly enough time for any noticeable macroevolution to take place. If you believe in evolution, but that God zapped us here in 6 days, why would you go against the Bible when it comes to evolution, but against science when it comes to abiogenesis? Why mix science and superstition? You don't make any sense. And don't bother with the whole micro and macro evolution crap, because it's the same thing, albeit over different periods of time.

Ok - *if* you believe in hell --
do you believe it's literally a fiery lake? do you burn up as in a real fire or for all eternity? in the alternative, do you believe it's simply the absence of God?
And why?

One who created sin to punishing his creation for not obeying him, then decided that was too harsh and sent his son to die for the sins he created, then still requires that we believe in him and his son after thousands of years of no appearance, or we will still be further punished for the sin he gave us by eternal torture -- all while knowing everything in advance in so much as expecting and knowing what we would do but still allowing it to happen.

How can you love and trust a god like this? Nevermind believe in him....

Why do men have nipples???
Why is the penis, a testosterone-modified clitoris?
(This is proven from studies of embryonic development!
Indeed, in the womb, it is the FEMALE body plan which is the
default form, and the male form is a MODIFICATION thereof
(resulting from testosterone.)
And why would Adam have been created with nipples
anyway? (Or did Adam lack nipples..?)
Please enlighten me!

If Revelation is talking about Roman Empire of the past (the seven hills thing kinda makes it obvious), then would Evangelical Christians try to mold current events to fit their book so they can point to it as being true for "today" ?

Have you ever tried to have a conversation (by way of e-mail) with someone from R&S, and by the end of it, you just want to bash your head against a wall or chuck your computer out the window?

I recently had what had the potential of being a productive conversation; yet in the end it turned out to be little more than:

Me: why do you think atheists' only purpose in life is self-gratification?
Him: well, what is it then?
Me: I explain what I feel my purpose is, beyond mere existence
Him: why do consider it hateful to say atheists have no purpose? Oh and atheists call Christians stupid and ignorant.
Me: I explain how I feel about judging an entire group over the actions of a few, that I understand how frustrating it must be to be called stupid and ignorant, just as it is to be told one's only purpose in life is self-gratification.
Him: well, atheists are arrogant, self-centered. "May the God that you do not acknowledge bring grace and peace to you."
Me:*bashes head against the wall*

Hi I am new to the whole modest dressing and head coverings. It is hard for me to see all my friends and family not doing it and I believe that it is right to do. I just wonderd if there were more of you out there that felt this way too. Sometimes i just throw away my skirts and wear pants agian but I know God appriceates women who are modest and don't go around showing off the body God has given them. I just need some encourgement from other women who dress Modestly to please God and wear a Covering. As i attend school i am not allowed to wear a covering and I wish i could so i just need other women out there that feel the same. Thank you
God Bless You

well by reading all the questions and comments I concluded that the majority of Christianshere, somehow they believe in Odin ( even though they say no).Nobody knows what's inside of them, or what's inside their mind! because you can say something but you are thinking otherwise!

so I believe that Christians( not all but many) just simply don't want to Odin because is by faith not by sight!
I'd never believe some Christians here! They do believe in Odin secretly Deep inside their mind, they ... just don't want to believe in Odin.

ONLY humans are capable of sin, correct?
1) In the bible, in the story of Adam and Eve there was a serpent (snake). The serpent temptes Eve and was punished for that sin by being made to slither/crawl on it's belly and all. Why was the serpent punished for this 'sin' if only humans can sin?

2) Also, when I asked this before one person said that it the Serpent was really Satan. That was one answer I got to this question. Okay then...so I'm sure God knew it was Satan so again - why punish the serpent?

that God doesn't want us to eat pineapples or cows or anything else much more difficult to prepare for consumption?

I mean look at a cow, it doesn't fit in your hand. There's no color coded scheme to know when to peel open a cow. In fact, there isn't even a tab to peel open the cow.

Should we only be eating bananas, apples and other easy to consume foods?

1.) Did absolutely nothing create the universe or does something exist eternally?
2.) If absolutely nothing created the universe---> Do you not believe science?
The 1st law of thermodynamics states- energy(matter) cannot be created nor destroyed

If you believe the universe is eternal, then how could we arrive at the current time in history considering it would have taken an infinite amount of time to get to this point? If this doesn't make sense to you, picture yourself never having a beginning, is this possible in the dimension of time?
By the way this argument does not apply to God, because something has to exist that is eternal outside the dimension of time.

So by now you should logically come to the conclusion that the "Big Bang" could not have occured unless something outside of our universe caused it.

So what is this? If it is simply non-living matter, how did Cosmic Evolution- The evolution of time, space, and matter.
