Modest Dressing Head COvering Christians please help?

Hi I am new to the whole modest dressing and head coverings. It is hard for me to see all my friends and family not doing it and I believe that it is right to do. I just wonderd if there were more of you out there that felt this way too. Sometimes i just throw away my skirts and wear pants agian but I know God appriceates women who are modest and don't go around showing off the body God has given them. I just need some encourgement from other women who dress Modestly to please God and wear a Covering. As i attend school i am not allowed to wear a covering and I wish i could so i just need other women out there that feel the same. Thank you

I believe that Pants aren't modest and that Christians should "be not yoked with unbelievers" modest dressing separates us from the non-believers.

Please do what you feel you need to do, but God is not offended by your hair. He created it! He is also not offended by women wearing pants as long as they are tasteful. I can understand not wanting to wear shorts. But there is nothing wrong with pants. Pants that fit well (aren't too tight, aren't too low) are perfectly modest.

God is less concerned with what is on our bodies and more concerned with what is in our hearts. As long as we aren't purposely showing off our bodies, God is OK.

Being "yoked" with unbelievers means marriage. Not everyday life. Its OK if you blend in. God doesn't care if you wear pants.

I am a Christian, too. Am I being immodest and upsetting God by wearing jeans and a Tshirt? No. No indecent part of me is showing. I am not calling attention to myself.

Please do what you need to do, but do not think this is necessary for salvation.

I am of the Pentecostal faith and I wear pants at home...I didn't for years and then one day, I realized the reason for not wearing pants is so you will look modest and since no one hardly evers sees me at home but my family and my DH, I do wear them around the house..But I think if you go out in public, you need to wear a longish skirt and modest top. I always wear 3/4 or long sleeve..but some women wear short sleeve...I wouldn't wear sleeveless though...too revealing.

I have a skin condition and from time to time, I cannot wear a slip,,it gathers around my legs and hurts,,,so during those times,,,I will wear pants...Keep your heart right,,,don't worry so much about the letter of the law,,,think why you were told to do something,,,and follow your heart on it....if your husband asks you to climb up on the roof and help you,,,,put on pants..I was caught up on the roof in a long skirt once,,,and couldn't come down, until the guy left, that was talking to my husband....use common sense.

As for the hair covering,,,I don't believe it is required. See scripture below.....However is you want to belong to a certain church and all the women do,,,then you might be happier if you follow what they do,,,,,so you don't offend anyone..

Read 1 Corinthians 11:15

But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.

Everyone woman dressing modestly makes up their own rules, in a conceit to show that they are more moral than someone else. Dressing modestly simply means dressing less attractively than the women who are competing with you. It is simply a way for wealthy people and people in power to control who is attractive and who isn't. A woman can be modest in a tiny bikini and be brazen while clothed from head to toe. Mnay Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders are devout Christians.
