Garykofoid. Have you not figured out what I am yet. I will give you a hint. I believe in the Truth of the Scriptures - nothing added - nothing taken away.

No one holds all of God' truth. It can't be done, God is just to big. I have been accused of bashing Catholics, and in the past I have done just that. The Holy Spirit has been working with me in this area and although some might not see this, He is. I share what I believe to be the truth, nothing else.

The thing that I find most appealing to me about the Protestant Church is they teach John 3:3 , that you must be born again. I have talked to a lot of Catholics who do not even know what this word means. This to me is frightening and sad at the same time.I believe this stems from the fact that they are baptized as infants and later confirmed after confirmation classes have been taken. You cannot teach someone how to be Spiritual. We cannot even come except He draw us.

The Roman Catholic Church is apostate because it has subverted the authority of Scripture by clinging to human traditions. If the Roman Catholic church is to be cleansed of its heresies, it must repent and return to the Scriptures alone.

I am a evangelical Protestant Christian because I believe that the Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible is the standard for faith and life.

Raised in the Greek Orthodox Church and very very thankful for it. But I chose to get more involved in my walk with the Lord and felt that non-denominational full gospel churches such as Crenshaw Christian Center in LA and Eagle Mountain Church in
D/FW were more salient vehicles to promote that wonderful walk. My fav preacher of all time is Kenneth E. Hagin.

I was born and raised a Catholic, and would never dream of going back. There is so much false doctrine and man-made "tradition" as they like to call it, that it overshadows the true Christian life with Christ. Someone in their answer, I believe it was Tina, said she was becoming a Catholic because Protestants change the Bible too much. All I can say there is to be careful what you ask for and that the grass is not always greener.

As a Catholic, we never once, not in all the sunday school classes, or even classes for "first communion" or "confession", etc., NEVER opened a Bible. Looking back, I find that horrific.

If one is running into false doctrine, or a church that is not teaching the full Bible, then it is the church. Find a church, but NOT one that is Catholic. All you find there is attitude, lies, and requests for money.

God bless.

Despite what some have said here, nobody is "born Catholic." However, I understand them to mean that they were raised Catholic.

I was also raised in the Catholic church. When I became an adult, I fell away from all religion (although I did still believe in God through Jesus Christ). It wasn't until I surrendered to Jesus Christ, recognizing His place as my Lord and Savior, that I found His peace.

The main difference I found was this: In the Catholic church, I always learned the generic "Christ died for us." It wasn't until I realized that Jesus died for me, specifically, that I was able to understand and learn from Scripture.

Many here are right in saying that there are unsound doctrine in the Catholic church. However, I believe that a Catholic person can be saved just as a Protestant can, IF, and only IF, they know Jesus Christ as their only Lord and Savior. That is the line of demarcation, for any denomination.

The Holy Spirit and His word! By studying the scriptures, the Holy Spirit leading me into all truth...knowing that the Holy Bible is God's written word and ALL truth, God breathed! I was raised in a solid christian home, PRAISE GOD! And never once desired to "search" for more truth- for I know that truth IS Jesus Christ and that if it does not line up with scripture it is not the truth. Many relegions do not hold to what the Bible says....or they twist it and add to it-- take away from it- they do all kinds of things to God's word and it is sad....
But it is the power of God that keeps us who are saved in tune with His truth, as we read our Bibles and pray for His wisdom and teaching...Amen?

I am not a Catholic because the Catholic Church had distorted the Word of God for its own purpose and believes that tradition can supersede scripture. I can't comment on the Orthodox church because I can honestly say I do not know what they believe or teach. I am a Christian, Protestant is just a label that confirms I am not Catholic.

No. no longer probably. Even non secular babies are no longer disallowed into entering heaven. The Trinity is a theory it is only printed throughout the Lord's provision. If somebody would not % to have faith it, or ignores the means to ask for rationalization and enlightenment, then they're only unaware of it. One would not would desire to have faith it or maybe comprehend it to be saved. it extremely is like asserting you will desire to comprehend the completed bible to be saved, and all of us be attentive to it extremely is not plausible. Who can totally be attentive to the suggestions of God? we've a small piece of His questioning, or maybe that bit is over each and everyone of our heads. regardless of if, it extremely is not what would rattling JW's and mormons. JW's a minimum of have faith that God is nicely and actually Divine, and consistently has been, regardless of in the event that they have not got faith Jesus is divine---a clean necessity to salvation. Mormons pass quite some steps under in believing Joseph Smith's suggestions somewhat of God's, that his LDS god became as quickly as a nondivine man or woman who "progressed" into being divine, holy. God says He has consistently been, is eternal, and He on my own is Holy. Who would desire to we've faith then? Smith? Or God, the author and merchandise of our concept? enable the mormons worship their mormon god, and enable the JW's demean Jesus as only an angel. No sweat off my nostril. The mormon god has a initiating, and for this reason would desire to have a distinctive end... some day.... quickly, because of the fact he's fake. And the place will Joseph Smith be then to look after their faith? Jesus as quickly as reported He did no longer definitely care if all and sundry did no longer point out His call as long as they worshiped the daddy in spirit and in fact. He additionally reported, "no you will come to the daddy different than by using Me." those statements go away lots of questions to discover the solutions by using some exceptionally hefty biblical finding. So the place does that extremely go away the JW's? i do no longer totally be attentive to what a Oneness Pentecostal is, so can not definitely remark.

I like the power. I like seeing people get healed. I like seeing God get glorified. And, I like extreme worship. I just figure that if it's worth doing, it should be done all the way.

When I read something in my Bible, and I don't see it in the church, then either there is something wrong with the Bible, or there is something wrong with the church, and there ain't nothing wrong with the Bible.

Now, you read John 14:12 and Mat 10:8, and you tell me which way you think we should be going.

Catholics wrongly obey a man, the pope. Protestants obey ONLY God almighty.

They wrongly obey a man made catecism. We ONLY obey the Holy Spirit inspired Bible.

Catholics wrongly pray to mere mortal "powerfess" man-made "Saints" , while we pray to no other gods, before GOD ALONE!

Catholics wrongly call the daughter of God, the blessed human Mary, the "Mother of God", when God had existed forever.

Jesus was the 4th man in the fire in the O.T.!!! His existance did NOT begin with Mary! He existed first!

Because she was a virgin at the time of Jesus's conception, their vatican says she is "STILL a virgin" (forever), when the Bible says otherwise.

It was the duty of a follower to obey the command of God to "Go forth and multiply"

It was the duty of a Hebrew wife to have "relations" with her husband Joseph.

Every one who was baptised in the Bible, waded out into the water to be baptised (full emmersion) as concenting adults...including Jesus!

Even RC inspired films show Jesus in the water up to his chest to be baptised.

It is unintentionally funny, lightly springling His hair, when he is already (as per the bible) soaking wet from foot to chest!

Read the bible, it wasn't water from a bowl, just sprinkled on his hair! He was baptised out in the water!!!

But your human popes, self-appointed "infalible" leaders, have said that RC baptism is something different.

A mere sprinkling of water on the hair, of babies, who may be crying in protest, or sleeping through it, and ALWAYS completely unaware!

Babies do not understand!!! How can they be "obeying" God's command?

They went into the water, in the bible, then rose "Symbolizing the death, burrial and reserection" as the Word of God says! So we do too.

I was christened Orthodox Catholic as a baby, but I have no memory of it.

As a born again Pentecostal (protestant) I was "really" baptised, intentionally as an adult, by full emmursion, out in the water at a conservation area, at our church picnic!

Need I go on?

Bread magicly His meat? Cannibalism?!?

Wine magically BLOOD? Which the bible plainly PROHIBITS DRINKING!!!

"Indulgences" where the rich buy forgiveness in advance for sins as serious as murder. Etc.

The RC church reformed, due to the Protestant enlightenment, but there is still much foolishness.

God loves you, and so do I, but I left the RC church to join the POTESTant enlightenment because popes are only men.

If you RC believers obeyed your own church, you'd still be having 9 children (like before the invention of the BANNED "pill) instead of just 2, like us!

We are fundamentalists. We go by the Bible, as best we understand it, not the pope!

The pope of the day is NOT the "head of the church".

Christ is!!!

The church is the "body of Christ", and WE followers of Christ ARE "the church", not any building(s) ... nor any one denomination!!!

Pray about God's will (not what the priests say)! He is LORD of all!!!

For brevity, I speak VERY frankly! Forgve my bluntness.

I don't want to slowly develope these ideas gently, in a long BOOK answer!

God bless us all! May the Holy Spirit fill our hearts.
