Male atheist here.
In my observation there are fewer female atheists, but I attribute that to the social aspects of church being popular among women, regardless of whether or not they really believe the doctrine.

As a male atheist, I would like to say that I would be glad to see more female atheists. And I'd also like to see more of the female atheists I do know.
