would you take it, knowing you were risking HIV and hepatitis and other issues?

Or would you rather die?

Jesus suffered at most a day and a half of pain and given the impact of shock he may have been numb by the time they nailed him up.

Explain Jesus's suffering? His suffering is supposed to have meant more than any of millions of cancer victims, or the victims of war, or of the pain of childbirth?

I.e. what one thing do you do or think about or focus on every day because it is the most important focal point of your spirituality?

Formal or informal, it doesn't matter - whatever it is for you.

I think this kind of stuff is what gets people up in arms over the gay issues and causes much more negative fallout than good.

I often hear from atheist that they are "free thinkers" or "open minded". But how open minded is it to add me to your blocked users list? I'm really sorry if I make you think to hard...or if you don't have the answers to my questions. But to block me shows one of two things: a) You know I'm right and you don't like it. b) You truly are not "open minded".

Either way, doesn't bother me...I take it as a compliment. Thanks to those that have blocked me...I am sure you are the same ones that reported my questions.

So, all other atheist. Do you think it is right to block a user? Doesn't that go against "free thinking" or "open minded"?

Over here in Australia we don't have a day called "Thanksgiving" and we don't have Halloween either for that matter. So.. what's with Thanksgiving? I see it in all the movies.. turkey .. family.. friends sometimes... but how come the whole USA does that at the same time? Don't you do that all the time ~ just not with turkey?

quicker than fundamentalists can spread lies about darwin, science, other religions, and everything else in the world which disputes their beliefs, you can get on any search engine and debunk any of the hundreds of lies which you've been told.

Should it really bother you at all, since you've decided that your new faith is more important than your Jewishness?

Just curious, and let's avoid any attacks from either my side or yours.

We need to have our baby baptized. This is a little about our situation…. We are not married, my fiancé is a catholic and I am a protestant. I believe my fiancé’s family would appreciate it if we have the baby baptized in the Catholic Church. I have no idea what the Catholic’s beliefs are? Are we going to be ridiculed for not being married and blessed with a child? I plan on converting to the Catholic Faith so we can all practice the same religion. BUT… I have no idea when we are to be married. Are we going to face any problems here?

I live in Europe and I'm trying to know more about the Catholic doctrine. Several protestant organizations send free Bibles but I was wondering if Catholic organizations did the same job because I am looking for a Catholic Bible in English (like the Douay-Rheims Bible for example). Thank you.

This was an answer to a previous question and I wonder... THIS is the loving God we are supposed to devote our lives to? "a consuming fire and His righteous and fiery judgement will be wrought on all those who live in rebellion and sin against Him"

Not what others do or say according to religion or denomination. But what could be so wrong or bad about Jesus Christ that you continue to refuse the sacrifice He died selflessly to give each one of us ?
Please don't base your answer on the any denomination or what others call Christianity. But In reading the Bible for yourselves and knowing what He did for ALL. Example: Well If they're a Christian then the woods are full of them. Please base your answer on what Jesus Christ did for humanity.I don't see how anyone could turn away from Someone that loved us enough to lay down His life and pay our Sin debt, when He was without sin Himself.
He made It possible for ALL who accepted Him to have eternal life In heaven. In refusing Him,what about Hell seems so appealing ? Eternal torment, burning In the firey flames and not being consumed, forever.

MANY people might say: ‘Does God’s name matter? There is only one Supreme Being.’ For example, a clergyman in Canada once said: “The name that people give to God is also unimportant.” This cleric held that it would make no difference if one used “Allah,” as do Moslems, or “Manitou,” as do some North American Indians. Many of the clergy have the same opinion.

But let us consider: Why do we use names? What is in a name?

Basically, names are used for identification. They are also often closely linked with personal achievements or fame. To millions, such names as Alexander the Great or Ghandi immediately bring to mind the achievements of these men.

But why is God’s name necessary? Because, although many people believe in only one true God, countless others worship many gods. Hindu people have millions of gods. In other parts of Asia and in Africa, millions worship their ancestors. What is the name of your God???
