Let him believe it until he is old enough/mature enough to understand the truth.

In the meanwhile, try not to let him hurt others with his childish belief system.

It depends on if the childish person is a child or not, and who has custody of that same child.
And all you can really do is tell the truth and explain what the truth is and hope that the person to whom you are speaking thinks about it and makes a good decision based on the facts.
You can't force an adult to believe the same way as you if they don't want to. You must accept their beliefs as their own and have respect for them if they believe something differrent. You shouldn't even try to espouse your own beliefs if they are unwanted. (that's for all the christians in the group)

For one thing, everyone is entitled to their beliefs. If you care about the person, be available as a friend and listener. When they voice an opinion that you believe is stupid, remember that it may be an uneducated opinion instead of a stupid one. Treat them with respect and speak the truth with love. Ask them what makes them believe such a thing and offer your sincere opinion of the topic. If neither one of you have any documentation to support your statements, then they are opinions only. And hopefully you can continue your friendship in respectful disagreement. If your heart is in the right place and your words match, you can be a positive influence. We all can grow and change our minds.

In the first place, tolerant. In the second place, creative. Considering that this person is childish, they probably aren't going to listen to reason if you try to tell them straight that this thing they believe is stupid. You'll have to show them slowly and carefully, even if it takes a while to get them to that realization. Experience is the best education. Figuring out how to do this is up to you, unless you can be more specific about your problem.

Hopefully they act like an adult. If the person that does not realize how stupid the situation is they may have learned this behavior from the adult.

If an adult is concerned, then naturally, this adult would behave in a manner of being concerned.

I told her that the Easter bunny couldn't send her a picture of himself in front of the house to prove the other disbelievers wrong because it took a camera with special film and only he and Santa Claus come out on that film.

I want her to believe in Jesus though

Don't worry bout it. I have lots of childish friends who believe stupid things. One even believes there is such a thing as blinker fluid and she's 25!

Guide the person to the truth gently without forcing. If necessary, just let the childish one be until they are ready to learn.

Who is judging what is childish and stupid? If I believe someone is acting that way I ignore them. Choose your battles carefully.

What about children who don't believe but then do when there adults because it makes sense? Like me. It's stupid to you because you don't understand it.
