Jesus is King and anyone that really knows Him will tell you so. I have watched as a lot of good men died and wondered why them and not me. I never saw any of them die on purpose so the others could live.
This is the example Jesus gave us and many a movie or story has been done on the sacrifice He showed the world.
In real life there has been only one Savior, only one offers eternal blessings and only one has to power to grant it.
It is so hard for some people to understand that some one could be the brave and self sacrificing man Jesus was, and they just don't have it in them. Worse their egos will not allow them to look outside their own limited knowledge for help.
We all avoid seeing the truth in our life, everyday. It's hard for me to admit I am so worn out, I want to travel on my own steam and forget I can't anymore.
To avoid this truth is truly suicidal and has no heart, no spirit, no oneness with life.
All we can do is pray for the Holy Spirit to touch these lives and show them Jesus. The rest is up to them.
No guts no glory.

The 'be nice to each other' part of his message is fine.
It is the 'rebel against your parents' and the 'worship me' parts that I do not like. Along with the "Sinners burn in hell" parts that have been added.
Now, you are assuming that the Bible is the Truth (as you like to capitalize it, as if that makes it truer that regular truth)
But there is no evidence to support this claim, and much to indicate that the bible is the made up words of other men. It was written, at the most generous of estimates, 30 to 100 years after his alleged death, by people who wrote in Greek, as opposed to the Aramaic that the disciples should have talked and written in. There are a multitude of gospels that have been left out, purely on the judgment of men and it has been subsequently edited several times and translated, changing the meaning as to the whims of the rulers of the time.
I'm sorry if you do not like this, but that is the reality of the situation. Capitalizing the word 'truth' can not and will not change reality.
So we are turning away from a fictional character. that character may have has some basis in reality, but the words have been so corrupted, so twisted to an alternate agenda that they are meaningless. It is like asking why people turn away from the words of Gandalf, or Harry Potter.

Aramaic became the language of the folk then. yet, Greek became additionally huge spoken. whilst Jesus costs from the Scriptures, he costs from the Septuagint, the Greek language version of the Jewish Scriptures. I had consistently assumed he would desire to examine Hebrew, yet, it became exceptionally lots a ineffective language then, or maybe the Jews examine the Scriptures in Greek. So, he would, or won't have been able to talk Hebrew, yet, Aramaic, and Greek for constructive.

People do not want to believe in Jesus or accept the free gift of salvation because it involves admitting that they have failed to live a sin free life. The majority of people think that they can gain salvation by their good works and don't need a savior. They want to take the credit for their own salvation and not have to give it to the one who suffered and died a cruel death for their sins. Basically it is their "pride" that causes them to repel the Savior. Pride is the mother of all sin because it blinds us to the truth about ourselves. We all have failed and are in need of Jesus Christ.

A lot of it has to do with rebellion.
People want to live their lives as they please, answering to nobody. It doesn't help that a Godly lifestyle is very tough in today's world and out of line with our self-pleasuring, life in the fast lane culture.
A lot of times it is easier to ignore that nagging and try to pretend everything will be OK in the end.
Some people even manage to brainwash themselves into believing that God doesn't exist.
It is so obvious when you look around that we were created. You see prophesies in the Bible coming to pass, yet people still ignore it and pursue some far-fetched notion that we came from monkeys when they have no proof.

I personally don't find ANYTHING repellent. The problem I have is that I don't believe ONE WORD of it. Just because it may be a good, or even GREAT message; that doesn't make it true. The fact remains that there is very little, if ANY evidence that it is true. It seems to me that a God that wanted people to believe in him would make it much more (or even SOMEWHAT) obvious that what he said is true. I mean, people even have to CAPITIALIZE the word Truth, to show it is different than things that are actually true!

Simply put, Jesus's message was simple and easy. It was Paul who ****** everything up trying to explain to people what it was like to be a Christian. Considering he was a Roman he should have shut up and let people experience it themselves with the free will we were given. That is the true reason Jesus's message is not understood. Use your own reasoning and see that he did not want to be held in esteem,After all he was a good jew.

Martin Luthor King was a good man. There are many things about his life, I try to do in mine also. He was a man, not a God. Jesus was a man, there is no historical evidence of the crucifixition or any of the miracles and events that the bible says happened immediately after his death. No earthquakes, no eclipse, no mention of the dead walking into town anywhere, no mention of the curtian to the holy of holies being rent in the Jewish history--he was a good man, I pray to no man.

You are totally right except for one thing. He did die for us, but we don't live forever in heaven, and there is no hell. When we die, we are just dead we don't go anywhere. Jehovah is going to ressurect everyone and put them to the test. Those who follow Jehovah God and Jesus fully and remain faithful to them will live on a paradise earth forever, while those who refuse to follow Jehovah and Jesus will die along with Satan and his demons. There will 144,000 who will live in heaven ruling next to Jesus who are called the anointed. It is all in the Bible. Psalms 20:6 talks about the anointed
Acts 24:16 talks about the resurrection, there are so many more scriptures but I don't have time to type them all out.

I don't think people really know what is repellant about it, the God of this age has blinded them. We have to pray then continue to plant the seed of God's word in Good soil. :)
satan is the God of this world. We pray for the blindness to be removed in Jesus' name.
