I think this kind of stuff is what gets people up in arms over the gay issues and causes much more negative fallout than good.

I think it is a stupid idea to have a gender switch day.

Nothing like shoving it down your throat. I thought this issue was about tolerance. The question is, tolerance for whose point of view? Certainly not the vast majority.

Men do not need to dress as women to identify with them and vice versa. Dressing like the opposite sex is not going to identify anyway. These schools have enough problems teaching math. How about spending more time on subjects that instill dignity and respect. This is an attempt at breaking down the natural taboos. It also leads to more confusion considering these are middle school aged kids. I wonder how the discussion went in the meeting room of the school administrators to justify this stunt. How far we have declined.

I think the school should stay out of this stuff and just educate children as......God knows the SAT scores could use the help. Good grief! Big brother does want to raise our children and I know that too. If I was in that town I would no doubt, move away.

Much gets passed off under the title of free thinking.
What this does is to cause people to break one of the laws God gave...God certainly does not want this, and what good does it do to further so called free thinking?
So this is what is passing for education in schools these days...

Good grief!

People don't suddenly "turn gay" because they put on the clothes of the opposite gender. What do these fools think will happen... sex change surgery in the nurses office???

The amount of ignorance in this world is truly astounding.

I think that should be any and every day. If boys want to wear skirts, then why not? Girls certainly already dress like boys.

Gender is a social construct.

A "Sadie Hawkins Dance" is one thing. Switching roles in everything is something to at least be weary of. Learn what class or curriculum is promoting the switch day, and you'll know the agenda behind the event.

Fortunately, it was cancelled after pressure from parents.
( Hurray for all you S.F. Moms and Dads! )

I think if it is done with taste it could be an excellent learning exercise. It would help the children to understand the point of view of the opposite sex.

Of course, keep in mind that the anti-gay forces will attack this for all their worth. God forbid that we should try to understand the opposite sex, let alone gay people. But I guarantee you, if someone isn't gay, then dressing up like, or pretending to be the opposite sex for one day will not make them gay.
