There are 7 more books in the OT in the Catholic Bible
Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, Machabees I, and Machabees II.

46 in the OT.

27 in the NT.

Total = 73.

We also number the Psalms differently.

Catholics did not add to the Bible. Protestants took away from it.

area of the myth that Catholics are no longer Christians is that we positioned no magnitude on the Bible. Myths are contradictory or have greater desirable than one kind, some say that we are forbidden to examine it. through fact the reason of many of the 20 th century innovations in (American) Christianity are Bible based and because Catholics of course, via remark or rumor, reject them, it extremely is concluded we forget approximately suitable to the Bible. the fact is that we examine the Bible in an extremely conservative way and don't locate "new issues" in it that have been handed over (or interpreted greater benignly) interior the previous. We carry that no person passage trumps something of scripture or divine revelation. a lot of people do no longer understand that meat comes from animals and fruit from timber. don't be surprisedd the are unfamiliar with the history of Christianity and the Bible. The literal meaning of the text fabric is the muse for all meaning interior the Bible. areas of the Bible are fiction, myth, and myth. this is not any longer a technology textbook. it extremely is inerrant with understand to concerns of religion and morals. An irresponsible expertise scripture is without advantage or effect no remember how fervent the only that holds it.
