Not for spelling and grammar. Usually just for language, or being excessively rude. I once gave someone a thumbs down because they were complaining about getting a thumbs down. ;-)

What do you know, I've searched my soul and the answer is no!

But I am not without sin. I have mocked these people. I used big words at them and stuff too to make them feel even worse.

But I think that was just when they were rude and stupid, not just stupid.

I do have a slightly forgiving nature after all. I'm not a total *****. Just like 75% or so.

No, never JUST for that. I do give a thumbs down to someone who can't spell or who uses incorrect grammar when they call all Christians stupid and say that none of us can spell>>>>>>>>

Homophonobics are uncool and frequently do this.

They say incorrect things like, "You Cristens are two dum!" and
"Your ignorant, you Christians!"

LOL

No, not for spelling/grammar. I have given people the thumbs down or reported them if it was an ADVERTISEMENT for a particular product, or was OBSCENE. Other than that, I simply attempt to give 'the best possible answer' and sometimes correct the spelling and/or grammar, too.

No, ...theres not a need to give a thumbs down based on grammar, when theres enough stupid questions and answers out here to give a thumbs down for instead.

No way, only on the content, I also do the same for thumbs up.

I'm not sure if it counts as a spelling mistake... but someone did answer with something like:
'hfshfhflksnlhlksdhkhd'

just to get points...

not solely for that, as far as I can remember. Content plays a bigger factor for me; I will not thumbs-down an opposing opnion if it is well thought-out, regardless of spelling.

No that would be dreadful, I would give a thumbs down for a hurtful rude answer though.
