Their brain is as large, or larger than the modern human (Cro Magnon) brain. They made tools, they had stylized rituals, they painted on cave walls, and recently they've been shown that they were every bit as capable of speech as modern humans.

They weren't animals, they are "Homo Neandertalis" -- i.e. a branch of humanity.

ok so in my previous question i asked if piercing the ear is ok or not.. many of you guys said yes

now i am wondering, if Allah says that harming our body is bad, then suicide is haram too, but then doesnt this mean that piercing an ear is harming the body because you can get cancer and infections because of it, then leading on to death which is kind of your fault because you harmed your own body and killed urself,.,,,
isnt this the same with smoking also

well anyways i was just wondering this because im a boy.. and i always wanted one of my ears peirced since i was a kid..

Holloween was originally the Hallowed Eve of All Saints Day. Remember that people used to consider it a new day as of sundown the day before. So, Halloween was the begining of All Saints Day. All Saints Day used to be a big celebration of all the Christians who have passed on and gone to heaven. A great day of thanking God for sending Jesus to save us from our sins.

Then it got distorted into costumes and candy. Then atheists started claiming it was really a pagan holiday that made it's way into Christianity thereby proving (to them) that Christianity was a false religion. Then some radical, uneducated Christians started jumping on the atheist bandwagon and tried to purge Halloween from Chrstianity. What began as a Godly celebration has become madness.

Does anyone still celebrate the original Christian Halloween?

Why do you think it's wrong???

Christians demand proof from Atheists that God doesn't exist. They demand science explain this proof -- yet when Atheists demand Christians supply scientific evidence that God does exist they claim they don't need it, that faith is enough, or the words in the bible are enough proof for them.

With that logic, I could say science has proved that the earth is 5 billion years old. If you ask me to prove it, I could say "because the words in Stephen Hawking's book say so".

If Christians are going to attack science for not being able to "prove without a shadow of a doubt" every subtley in the universe, then I want the same standard of reasoned thinking to apply to "proving God exists". Lets level the playing field if we're going to debate evidence on its merit, lets use logic and reason exclusively. No handicaps.

Not how. I don't want to know what chemical reactions happen. That is how it happens. I want to simply know WHY it begins to beat.

space are the same age as the one found on earth based on the carbon dating system? Can anyone explain?
A recent conference in Crystal City,Virginia included the usual insistence by atheists that "God is
a myth" & "children must not be taught religion" (Castillo 2007),Oxford professor Richard Dawkins unleashed his typical militant
,intolerant tirade agasint Christians. He insisted:Religion is not the root of all evil, but it gets in the wayof (determining)how
we got here & where we find ourselves....& that is evil in itself"(Castillo,emp.added).Ironic,is it not, that if atheism is true
& there is no God,no absolute, objective evil even exists. That means that
Dawkins must use the term"evil"to refer simply to his own subjective opinon.

When asked to state the main difference between believers & atheists,Dawkins unhesitatingly quipped:"well, we're bright" (Castillo)
Apart from the arrogance, let us make certain that we have grasped correctly his senitment.
In order to be an atheist, one must know(& thus be able to prove)the following(see Warren & Flew,1977,pp.7-8,55-58):

!. Matter is eternal,having existed non-congently,without a beginning.

2.Matter is all that exists.

3.Matter has always existed.

4.No one piece of matteris worth anymore than any other piece of matter.

5. By sheer chance, dead matter became living matter.

6.By sheer chance, dead matter conscious matter.

7.By sheer chance, dead matter became a human being.

8.By sheer chance, dead matter developed conscience.

But the atheist cannot know or prove any of these eight items! Even modern science acknowledges that the Universe is
not eternal(see Miller,2007,2[4]:30-31).These eight are but a fraction of the insurmountable
barriers to proving atheism.Yet,we are assured by one of the world's leading atheists that they are "bright.

Professing to be wise, they became fools.......[and]exchanged the truth
of God for a lie,and worshipped and servered the creature rather than the Creator" (Romans 1:22-25)

......The entire world was covered with water 29,000 feet above the level of the oceans today (just a bit preposterous, is it not?). We could use all that water today, if we just knew where it all went. Exactly WHERE did all that water go? Did it just "soak in?" Did "god" create an Immaculate Receding? Fundies, feel free to explain, but please don't waste pixels and look bad by saying it "evaporated", our atmosphere could not hold one perecnt of that amount of water.

I am a Christian.
I believe in prayer.
We used to say the Lord's prayer every morning in school ( also read a Bible verse and said the Pledge)
Did the Lord's prayer cover every Christian belief? Or was someone not represented?
We don't have to discuss other faiths and their prayers in our schools. I'm asking Christians and they don't want the others anyway; what Christian sect or cult should be represented in our schools?
