Ok someone requested that I tell why evolution is not correct and why I believe in God. Well, so many of you guys on here are always saying “You Christians are idiots how can you believe in something you can’t see?” I don’t CARE that I can’t see it, I have faith, yes sometimes it is hard, but I’m willing to do anything for my God who has given everything that I have to me and everyone on this earth. I’d rather live like there is a God and find out there isn’t rather than live like there isn’t a God and find out there is one. Hmm mean anything to any of you??

Why don’t you guys just TAKE A CHANCE and become a Christian, and at the end, if God isn’t real (Which he is) oh well for you guys, would you rather have a great life and have it turn into unimanigable horrible eternity, or would you rather still have a great life and have the best most perfect eternity in heaven?? All you people who believe in evolution just believe it because your so called 98% scientists believe in it – and they do all the work for you! PSHHHH… Lemme ask you this question, if this whole word EXEPT you turned away from evolution and turned to Christianity or SOMETHING ELSE would you still keep your faith in evolution??? Well if this whole world turned away from Christianity, I would still be strong for my Jesus. Do what you want; all I’m saying is you guys are making a horrible mistake… change it before it’s too late. =] God Bless you all

Y’all who believe in evolution, you guys say that people once formed out of apes in the beginning, why did that stop then? Why aren’t apes still forming into humans?

You say, “How else am I supposed to come to a conclusion if not through learning from scientists?” I came to a conclusion without learning from a scientist that God is real and he is the creator of this earth…. I would still like if someone would answer my question about the apes.

Evolution is becoming a religion. Otherwise, you can show me photos of "proofs" you say you have, but can't show. You have no photos, because there is nothing you can take a picture of showing a link between apes and people. You all take someone else's word for evolution and it is only a 'theory'. God bless.

I believe that God is everything and everything is part of God. Why can't things evolve within God? IT'S ALL PART OF HIM ANYWAY. You changed as time passes, why can't He?
No matter how much people want to believe the Bible, in the end, to get that book into your hands it had to pass through, people like translators, printers and other fallible humans, all of which made changes in 'The Word of God'. Jesus never spoke English. It's likely that he didn't write in Latin or Greek. There is proof that the Gospels weren't actually written down until at least a generation (about 25 yrs) or more had passed. That may not affect the spiritual meaning of the information, but that is plenty of time to get the facts mistaken.
Science, on the other hand, arose along with the accuracy of recording observable results. It requires that results be reproducible and recordable. I believe in evolutionary theory because I have dug up fossils in wild areas myself. Why would I doubt that others have found them, as well?
The problem most fundamentalists have with science is that they can't make it match what other humans have said is in the Bible. What they aren't considering is that human error has crept into the transmission of the Holy Word. That isn't the same as saying that there is no Holy Word. It's just that humans aren't perfect. Maybe God showed evolution to those humans who wrote down the Bible, but all they could understand was what we now see on paper today.

Well it's not really fair to say "don't go by what others and scientists say" because scientists ARE the ones who developed the theory. I just believe that it is a good theory. I mean, it is the best one I've heard... Here's why:
a. No dinosaurs in the bible
b. humans and animals (especially apes) are VERY closely related by DNA.
c. genetic mutation shows that evolution is happening RIGHT NOW (traits are passed on from parents to their children... it would make sense that switching them up and then breeding the "switched up ones" could eventually produce a totally new species)

I do not "believe in" evolution as it is a scientific theory not a religious dogma. As for what I think and not what scientists tell me, that is a fairly absurd statement since I an not an evolutionary biologist myself, how else am I supposed to come to a conclusion if not through learning from scientists?
You have learned all the very little you know, from your bible, but we are not allowed to use scientists as a source.
*sigh*

Because there are vast amounts of evidence from many independent areas of study. It is the best unified explanation for the myriad observations from these diverse fields.
And it's a whole lot more logical and satisfying than "gawddidit".
Now, I want to hear what YOU have to say as to why it is not correct. In your own words.
ADDENDUM
So, you have no valid reasons for why it is not correct. Why is that not surprising? Your use of Pascal's Wager for the EXCUSE you to be "strong for my Jesus" is pathetic. Hedging a bet is a poor excuse for denying the evidence at hand and living your life according to a fairy tale. How do you know your fairy tale is the right one? Why are the THOUSANDS of other gods not real instead of your chosen imaginary friend?
Keep ranting. It does nothing but demonstrate how insecure your position really is.
Your ignorance is palpable. Is you have any real desire to learn the answer to your ape question, look here http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CC/CC150.html . Of course, the chances of you actually understanding it are almost nil.

Because it makes more sense for things to start simple and become complex, rather than the other way around. For stable structures to emerge out of chaos.
You say the universe couldn't have grown from scratch, yet you believe a whole god has always existed without any growth. What makes more sense?
There is also the evidence, while all religions have is unsupported mythologies.

1) Astronomical amounts of evidence.
2) Research that I've done. (Sorry, can't list it all here, I've researched many things regarding evolution in many places over many years.)
3) There is not one single scrap of evidence that has been found to point in any direction OTHER than evolution.
In answer to your question about apes--apes did not evolve into humans. We do not COME from apes, we share a common ancestor.
There is too much information for us to be able to explain it all here to you. Please do some research about what the theory of evolution actually says before trying to argue against it.
The difference between us saying that we need to rely on what scientists say to believe in evolution and your belief in God, is that we DO depend on EVIDENCE to believe something. That means our acceptance of the evolutionary theory is dependent on what evidence scientists can SHOW us. It's IMPOSSIBLE for us to give you a reason for us accepting the theory of evolution that doesn't include the evidence that scientists present to us. We don't "believe" in evolution "just because". Believers in God not only do *not* depend on evidence, but you actually take pride in the fact that you believe in God despite the fact that there's no evidence for his existence. We believe in evolution because that's where the evidence points. ALL of the evidence points to evolution.

Because i believe it unquestionably... because there is a book thats filled with facts about it. because It was brain-washed into me from an early age, because its a cool story about how people should treat each other, because i can just feel its presence...
o wait thats why people believe in god. id say i think the theory of evolution seems correct because its observable on small scales. you can breed dogs to look like whatever, ok enough said. does each breed of dog have an evolutionary precursor that is alive and obseravable? no of course not. why should we discount evolution because the in-between species are dead when the theory says new and better ones took their places. for evolution to work the weaker species *must* die. its the nature of competition.

I do hope I have practiced my logical reasoning capabilities somewhat in over 10 years of studying biology. I would be very disappointed if all this practice would have been in vain.
Assuming it wasn't in vain, then evolutionary theory adequately explains all phenomena I've ever personally applied it to, or other biologists have written about or presented data in some other manner.
In addition some of my friends actively study evolutionary biology and I know them as trustworthy, thorough and intelligent individuals. I don't think they would knowingly deceive me. Knowingly falsifying data is anyway the biggest scientific sin...
Edit: re "..asked what YOU thought about it, not what scientists think, give me YOUR answers..."
I am a scientist, so it is impossible for me to give you my thoughts but not a scientist's thoughts. Please give some reasonable requests.
And about apes, they don't evolve into humans nowadays because that particular ecological niche is already filled by humans. Humans outcompete the great apes in such a way that they are even threatened by extinction.

Considering that the following statements are logical, I'd have to say that they're logical together also:
We have DNA.
DNA mutates.
Mutation causes variation.
Environments favor certain mutations over others.
Organisms with "bad" traits are wiped out by the environment.
Organisms with good traits survive and reproduce, passing on their genes.

Mainly because of the overwhelming proof that has been found---& keeps being found daily. We should remember how hard the Christian church fought against the discovery that the Earth was not flat, nor immovable, nor the center of the universe--facts shattered that myth just as facts will shatter the creationists stance.
