Do you even believe they existed?

Why were they wiped off and yet humans weren't? And why weren't dinosaurs mentioned in the creation story?

Yes i believed they existed speaking as a christian.. The bible itself never mentions the word "dinosaur" but it does speak of a behemoth in the book of job 40:15-18

"Behold now, Behemoth, which I made as well as you; He eats grass like an ox. Behold now, his strength in his loins, And his power in the muscles of his belly. He bends his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are knit together. His bones are tubes of bronze; His limbs are like bars of iron. "

As far as creation...On the sixth day it states that God created the beasts cattle and everything that creepeth the earth --including dinosaurs..gen 1:24-25

I have not looked into yet how/why dinosaurs were destroyed...but they were mentioned in the story and they def did exist...weve found fossils :P

As a Christian I would say that God wiped out the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago using an asteroid on one side of the earth and volcanoes on the other.

Humans weren't around at that time.

Dinosaurs are not relevant to the creation story.

Yes, I believe that dinosaurs existed. And there are a lot of things that weren't mentioned in the Creation Story. And there are some things that need to be pieced together to get a more complete picture of the Creation.

One thing that is SUGGESTED (I emphasize that because it is not explicitly biblical) is that it was Satan who destroyed the dinosaurs, and, in fact, all life on primitive earth. And it is after that destruction that we find the earth in the condition of Genesis 1:2 -- wasted and empty.

Some theologians have suggested that in the very first verses of Genesis one sees the world void and chaos because Satan had come in and wrecked it .. so God's creation of mankind was part of his righting the mess.

Something that is congruent with this, is that people who have taught on exorcism emphasise that a lot of demons who afflict people are actually getting vicarious satisfaction by their afflictions. So there are demons of lust, rage, hatred. This and the fact that demons seem earthbound where Satan's angels can move in the physical air, may indicate that they are somehow the spirits of some lost race - who knows, perhaps some intelligent but desperately corrupt creatures swept away with the dinosaurs. * This is mainly speculation of course *.

I certainly wonder what revelations Paul had when he went in the spirit or by vision to the heavens. He heard things not permitted to be told to men, which could include many things. Of course if someone had written about dinos in those times, people would most certainly not believe.

"And why weren't dinosaurs mentioned in the creation story?"

Just to let you know, the word 'dinosaur' was 2000+ years off in the future of when the relevant biblical texts were written. I'm sure, though, that you'll get some nonsense mentioning either the unicorn, behemoth or both.

I do like to ask the ID freaks about why 98% of all the species that ever lived are now dead. Asking them to explain their perfect designer's abysmal failure rate gets a lot of interesting answers lol.

It's the natural outcome for species to become extinct. The dinosaurs just went in a large batch, apparently because of the combined environmental effects of extreme vulcanism as India collied with Asia and a large asteroid strike.

I believe that during Noah's flood most very large animals were chosen by God to be left off the boat because they were not compatible with man. Remember the name dinosaur is a name we give them, in the book of job you will notice the word Leviathan. Same type animals.

Yes Dinosaurs existed, Job 40:15-24.

GOD shook the earth Jer 4:23-29.

In the 1st earth age Dinosaurs were flesh, we find their bones even now. But Human's were then just in the "spiritual bodies", and NOT flesh bodies till this age.
.
GOD didn't make man Fleshly bodies till this" earth age(2nd)."

There are 3 earth ages 2 Pet 3.

Who said that dinosaurs were wiped off the face of the earth?

Dinosaurs are mentioned when it says that God created all the land animals and beasts.

In the ark, there were 2 of every kind of animal, and if you understand the growth rate of dinosaurs, they are just like alligators, turtles, and other creatures that continue growing till the day they die. However, remember that life expectancy AFTER the flood was far shortened. Prior to the flood, you have people living 100's of years, which would give these creatures the chance to grow very huge. After the flood, however, as I already stated, the life expectancy of all living things was shortened, thus preventing the dinosaurs from growing to the same size as their pre-flood parents.

And, as far as their appearance, you might not recognize them, because the drawings of dinosaurs were done by artists who were guessing. They weren't actually there to see what they looked like, so - as I just said - you might not actually recognize a baby dinosaur when you see one.

Dinosaurs were created in the image of God's brother, Ted.
