No. It should be telling that the Pledge was written by a registered socialist.

It's rote, jingoistic foolishness that minors recite before they even know what it means, and WELL before they're of age to make any such a pledge.

That kind of Germany-circa-1935 jingoism has no place in public schools, with or without religion.

No. Why should children be forced to pledge their allegiance to this country? That is facist. People who think it's patriotic don't have a clue. Patriotism is in the heart. You shouldn't be forced to pledge it. Especially children. Let soldiers pledge it...like it would matter anyway. It's simply a stupid idea.

No. You should not force someone to pledge allegiance to a temporal country, that is why I withdrew my pledge.
