muslim question part 2..?

ok so in my previous question i asked if piercing the ear is ok or not.. many of you guys said yes

now i am wondering, if Allah says that harming our body is bad, then suicide is haram too, but then doesnt this mean that piercing an ear is harming the body because you can get cancer and infections because of it, then leading on to death which is kind of your fault because you harmed your own body and killed urself,.,,,
isnt this the same with smoking also

well anyways i was just wondering this because im a boy.. and i always wanted one of my ears peirced since i was a kid..

not really a question but i am wondering if anyone agrees with my theory on piercing..

Yes, killing yourself is prohibited in Islam, no matter how some people try to justify it, its not right.

Smoking is extremely disliked to haram according to the various opinions.

What you question was really about was beautification for a man. The only beautification thats permissible for a man is a ring and that has to be silver. Apart from that its not permissible to do other kinds of beautification for a man.

A woman could piecre her ears but she could only wear ear rings for her husband and in his company.

The other aspect is that a man shouldn't look like a woman or vice versa. So it would not be permissible to dress up like a man in a place or area that people would consider you to be a woman, if you dressed in certain clothes.

So an a man with an earring may be classed as a feminine form of beautification in some areas and at the same time as not.

So buy a ring brother

Anything that harms the body is forbidden so smoking would be haraam as well because it can give you lung cancer or ruin your liver. Even medicines that a doctor gives you can possibly be haraam if they harm your health or body. The reason Muslim women can get their ears pierced is because they can look beautiful for their husband and so they can beautify themselves better. Suicide is haraam because you are killing yourself and ALLAH(SWT) is the only one who can take your life away not you. Yes you could get cancer if you have gaping holes in your ears or you don't wear your earrings and let the hole close up. I'm not sure why wearing earrings is not haraam but I think it's to make the women happy. ALLAH(SWT) knows best.

you are complicating things to much here boy. piercing is OK. if you have any other thoughts or feeling go to an imam, and he will answer those for you.
