Is that bad in your opinion? Where do you draw the line between trusting your parents(who always seem to be right about everything else) and going your own way?

He tells me to do stuff for him, but whenever I ask him to do something or stop doing something (like to turn the lights off in the garage) he never does it. He doesn't even try to remember. He says that because I'm his child I should listen, but he doesn't have to listen to my requests because he's my father. I think that's unfair and pridefull.

It makes me so angry, although I know that it's a little childish. How do I deal with him and keep forgiving him?

(Climbing on to my soap box) Why is it, that I have to continuously apologize for my believing brothers and sisters for damning to hell, everyone who does not believe as they do? If you have submitted yourself to G-d, then why do you tell people what it is that G-d is going to do? Who is the true judge? If a man appears to be a believer and isn't how are you to know? Isn’t it under the authority of the sovereign L-rd who goes to hell and who doesn't?

I understand that some have been hurt by others and that some may feel angry at God for something that took place in their life..Some blame God for things that He did not do..It is we that turn from Him -not Him from us..

I pray for all who are upset at God and christians..
I see why christians can upset u , I upset myself,
But, God , He will never lead you wrong.

He loves you. I just hope you that do not know that see it and know it soon..YOU can laugh at us now. YOu can choose who you wanna trust. you have a choice....

Just know this - He loves you. Be careful. YOu may think that you are having fun by some of this stuff that you say on here...

But, what are you doing to yourself? You are not hurting others with this...you are hurting yourself in all reality.

They made fun of Noah too. That old crazy guy...He is always talking about this flood...You better get in the ARK.

some say no, some christians and some Mormons. But experts say yes, and even Mormon leadership:

Elder Bernard P. Brockbank of the first Quorum of Seventy:

"It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshiped by the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For example from the Church of England’s Articles of Religion, article one, I quote: ‘There is but one living God, everlasting, without body, parts, or passions.’ We cannot obtain salvation and eternal life by worshiping fake christs…. The belief that God has no body parts, and passions is not a doctrine of Jesus Christ or a doctrine of the holy scriptures but is a doctrine of men, and to worship such a God is in vain" ("The Living Christ," Ensign, May, 1977, pp. 26–7).
And more recently:

What if there is just ONE GOD, and we're all fighting over our VERSION of what he is? Does he really care who is most accurate? Or is he more concerned that we are spending all our time killing each other over our perspectives?

Do you feel alone in the Universe? Does it make you cynical? Do you believe in miracles? What is the purpose of life to an atheist?

You see i grew up going to Catholic church, bu after a while my family and i stoped going for a while, but then after i started going to Christian church and i enjoyed it and got into, that i even i got baptize in a Christian church....then for some reason, i wasn't happy there, it felt like something was keeping from being happy.....

After almost two years of struggling with that, i finally decided to go back to Catholic church for one day only to see how i felt, and i gotta say after that day i felt different and felt that all of my problems were just lifted off of my shoulders, and that's when i realize that i have to be back in Catjholic church....

I feel more comfprtable there and happy, so is it ok to return to Catholic after i already been baptize in a Christian church?........

Any religion that has so much racism and hatred can`t really be of God. They are only loving inside the four walls of their church.

(my experience) i did. i was scared to admit that i had my doubts, but i knew deep, deep down i couldnt truly believe, even though i wanted to believe... all those years i felt trapped, it seemed like it was very wrong to doubt. it seemed like everyone was able to believe except me. it also felt like an obligation to believe. and that fed my fear even more to admitting my doubts. therefore, it felt like i lacked the freedom to express and admit how i truly felt.

i jumped those hurdles (slowly, but i managed) and now i am openly what i truly always was...atheist. one of the biggest things that made me realize it was safe to not believe, is the fact that i live in a free country where i can be who i am and believe what i do believe (it took me a long time to realize that).... i am very thankful for that!

may i please hear some of YOUR experiences??

Just wondering. He didn't like Christians at all, so why do people attribute the Holocaust to Christians?

There were few, all across the board that risked their lives before it was widespread knowledge about what was happening. That is pretty common though- people won't stand up until everyone else is. Anyway.. The real question is, what do you attribute big ... 'mistakes',.... 'cruelties',... whatever you want to call them of humanity? When people do really bad things, and follow bad leaders- why?

Sorry if the questions aren't perfectly formulated, I hope you get it.

Do you also blame him for the bad? How do you differentiate? As far as I've seen, all of my Christian friends thank God for EVERYTHING that goes well, and when something goes wrong it's either "That's the effect of free will," "God doesn't always stop bad things from happening," or "It's part of God's plan."

So when do you decide that something good hasn't come from God and how can you justify giving God thanks for ALL the good things in your life? Surely if only SOME bad things are attributable to God, then it's entirely possible that only SOME good things are too.
