I would like to offer my apologizes if this has happened to you. Questions are normal when one is earnestly seeking answers to things spiritual. I guess the answer to this lies more in the receivers perception of the speaker. Some believers dont take kindly to what they may perceive as attacks on their faith. If you or someone you know has real questions meant to educate and illuminate unclear issues seek out a pastor of a local church. I would be remiss to think that they would not be willing to sit down with you. Blessings.

Probably has more to do with the way people word their questions or statements. And many Christians take it as a personal attack, not realizing their comments are worthless and empty and pointless to a true believer. It's evident from what I have seen the short time I've been here that there isn't much respect from atheists in particular, who just like to prod and poke at those who do believe. I ignore them and consider the source but it's sad to see they haven't grown up enough to show others respect just because they believe differently.

It is surely insecurity that makes one feel so.........it can also be that they aren't well informed and do not wish to understand what the Bible actually says. Knowledge will always allow a person to face any questions without being needlessly perturbed...Absolute Faith also can answer questions which are being hurled at..
Did not Jesus patiently reply to many a stupid question and to the most trying situations.....You need to face all this brain storming with a smile as the more you believe in something you have to interpret to others who are genuinely less knowledgeable.

Because *some* questions are administered with hatred. Would you not agree?
Also because some fear they may be wrong on this or that point and are on sandy soil.
Most of the people I have experienced the most hatred from are from WITHIN the church, rather than without... and it universally has been because I backed them in a corner because they had cherished traditions of men that I proved them wrong with the scriptures. Rather a sad state of affairs would you not agree?

I don't equate questions with hatred. But i do equate "some" questions with disrespect for ones beliefs. And I mean that also for "some" of the Christians who disrespect "some' atheists questions.

I don't know but I sure am getting tired of hearing some Christians on here complain about how they're so persecuted when all people are really doing is just disagreeing with them. I asked a question similar to this about a week ago. Here's the link:

I believe it is because they feel threatend in their belief. I am a Christian and I left a particular church because they believed it was wrong to question our country's leadership and involvement in the war. They believe that Bush is a Christian and therefore can do no wrong-that he is God's man, and to question that is a sin. I don't think they believe the same way now.
As a Christian and a person of his morals/ethics, we should always question-because we know the true motivation of man is usually NOT good.

I think that some may be put off by certain questions. I guess it depends on the type of question you're asking. It's hard to answer your question more definitely.
I think a mature Christian should not react that way. Keep in mind that people are at different places in their faith journeys.

Hi. I appreciate that you said "some". But didn't you know that there are some non-christians that answer questions in a hating way? (I've seen Atheists, Muslims and Jews doing that) And also this question has been asked a multiple times.

It's your avatar dude. Quite blatantly a monster.
Scary stuff. Christian folk are tender-hearted, and will instantly equate you with a predator, just by looks alone. See my avatar? bowing in humiliation. Looks Christ-like. People actually think I know stuff. (And sometimes I DO!!!!)
Numberone advertising rule: don't scare the customers.
(yeah, I know you think its "The customer is always right.", but trust me on this. That's the second rule really.)
