I've heard many different opinions in what a soul is. What is yours? Does everyone have a soul? Can your soul be changed?

Okay I have been confuesed about this. I'll try my best to explain.
Okay so people arent supposed to sin but then i read books and stuff that always say well god forgives you, if he didnt then the cross wouldnt mean what it does, and that it means all our sins are forgiven. So what does that mean i can just sin my heart out and expect to get into heaven?? ----I dont think that, its just how they make it sound to me.

also i dunno if it says this in the bible but I was taught that God already plans out our life.. so every sin I committ, he had planned? so is it really a sin?

Isn't this an example as to how mistakes may have been made when all of the earliest New Testament manuscripts were written during Christianity's first 300 years?

If possible, I'd like to get answers from people who have a great knowledge of early Christianity & Christian writings.

I have a good basic knowledge of the New Testament, but I'm baffled by things like this.

Do Roman Catholics commit idolatry since they bow down to Mary and other Saints.

Are they breaking the 10 commandments?

Exodos 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.

If so.....

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, not idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, shall inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9-10).

Jesus was a fraud who failed the messianic prophecies.

If he was empowered at all, his miracles were in fact Satanic in origin, powered directly by Satan. It is Satan that Jesus refered to as the Holy Spirit.

Christianity is the original Satanism.

Jesus's death was a total waste of time. He saved nothing and no one, and died in shame and defeat.

-------------------

Is this or is this not, if held and stated with utter conviction (which it is), blasphemy?

The Qur'an, Al-Anbia(21):19-29
"And the angles said 'O Mary, Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him, his name is Messiah,
Jesus son of Mary, High honored in this world and the next, of those near stationed to Allah."
The noble Qur'an, A'al-Umran(3):40.
We as Muslims do not differ with Christians in the fact that Jesus (pbuh) was indeed born miraculously
without a human father. Muslims only differ with Christians in the Christian's claim that Jesus (pbuh)
must have a father. Trinitarians believe that if he has no human father then his father must be God.
Muslims believe that he had no father whatsoever, and this was the essence of his miraculous birth.
"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam, he created him from dust, then said to him: 'Be'
and he was"

I have one of the strongest relationships with Jesus my Lord! And it is experiences like this that have proven His existence! And every single Christian can be proud to say that this kind of experience is the basis of their faith! Enjoy!

I was driving in my car to "Central World" into the parking lot. Before I got into the parking lot I prayed to Jesus my lord that there be an emty parking space for me. And guess what happened!

Jesus never ceizes to amaze me! There were plenty of parking spaces for me! I prayed for one parking space but Jesus gave me much more! Now how can you deny Jesus when He actually answers our prayers so amazingly?!

Jesus was the son of God.

Or in other words; He was God in the form of a man named Jesus.

Jesus therefore was God preaching on earth as a human.

Jesus is God therefore He wouldn't doubt himself nor would He need to have faith in heaven and God since Jesus himself is God and created heaven.

For those of you that claim Jesus is not God but His son; still Jesus needed no faith since He was sure of God's existence as He knew He was God's son through His powers.

Before Jesus was crucified He cried out "Father, why have you forsaken me?!"

Despite having faith in the end the fact is that Jesus actually showed doubt and anxiousness about God.

Jesus actually doubted His own faith, even if it was just for a moment.

How is that possible?

Would you yourself doubt your own existence as you know you are there? Ofcourse not.

This absurd incidence points to bad story making of the author which fails to keep the context consistent.

If you disagree then enlighten me.

This may sound strange but i have to ask. I am protestant and my husband is catholic. I regularly attend church and know the rules and customs of getting a baby baptised in my church. My husband on the other hand has not been to church in over 2 years. He is insisting our baby be baptised in the catholic church even though he does not go. I am ok with this as long as we also have a baptism in my church, but i am afraid we will not be able to have a catholic baptism because he never goes. What does he need to do?

Find an attractive prisoner of war, bring her home, shave her head,
trim her nails, and give her new clothes. Then she's yours.
-- Deuterononmy (Deuteronomy 21:11-13)

Find a prostitute and marry her.
-- Hosea (Hosea 1:1-3)

Find a man with seven daughters, and impress him by watering his
flock.
-- Moses (Exodus 2:16-21)

Purchase a piece of property, and get a woman as part of the deal.
-- Boaz (Ruth 4:5-10)

Go to a party and hide. When the women come out to dance, grab one and
carry her off to be your wife.
-- Benjaminites (Judges 21:19-25)

Have God create a wife for you while you sleep. Note: this will cost
you a rib.
-- Adam (Genesis 2:19-24)

Agree to work seven years in exchange for a woman's hand in marriage.
Get tricked into marrying the wrong woman. Then work another seven
years for the woman you wanted to marry in the first place. That's
right. Fourteen years of toil for a woman.
-- Jacob (Genesis 29:15-30)

Cut off 200 foreskins off of your future father-in-law's enemies and
get his daughter for a wife.
-- David (I Samuel 18:27)

Even if no one is out there, just wander around a bit and you'll
definitely find someone. (It's all relative of course.)

Become the emperor of a huge nation and hold a beauty contest.
-- Xerxes or Ahasuerus (Esther 2:3-4)

When you see someone you like, go home and tell your parents, "I have
seen a ...woman; now get her for me." If your parents question your
decision, simply say, "Get her for me. She's the one for me."
-- Samson (Judges 14:1-3)

Kill any husband and take HIS wife. (Prepare to lose four sons
though).
-- David (2 Samuel 11)

Wait for your brother to die. Take his widow. (It's not just a good
idea, it's the law).
-- Onan and Boaz (Deuteronomy or Leviticus, example in Ruth)

Don't be so picky. Make up for quality with quantity.
-- Solomon (1 Kings 11:1-3)

A wife?...NOT!!!
-- Paul (1 Corinthians 7:32-35)

Become sinless, and die in atonement for others, and you can marry a
whole bunch of people.
-- Jesus (Revelation 15?)
