Did David have the Holy Spirit? Judging by his life, works, etc. I always kind of assumed David had the Holy Spirit. It seemed to go without saying. But then I realized, wait a minute.. David lived in the Old Testament, and God didn't pour out the Holy Spirit until after Jesus (in Acts). So that would suggest that people before that did not have the Holy Spirit. But some (David and others) had fruit of it. How is this?

'one true God's organization, The Watchtower Oraganization,' which has made several big mistakes interpreting God's Word? Failed prophecies are not enough, what that would be?

In the Judeo-Christian religions god is almost desperate for people to believe in him. The Bible and Qur’an are full of threats and tortures that will be heaped upon unbelievers. So, why is god so insane to get people to believe in him? What does he gain from that, and why does he crave it so much? I don't think it's for our benefit.

I am an inactive JW. I have nothing against Witnesses. I still believe that Jehovah is the Almighty God and Jesus his son. If you commit a sin worthy of reproof or disfellowshipping can you be made such without the elders talking to you?

May Jehovah Bless all his Witnesses and Thanks for your answer.

If the main basis of following a Wiccan path is "It harm none, do what ye will", should a Wiccan eat meat? It does harm by the obvious, death of the animal. But what about the harmful way our society cages and treats animals raised for consumption? Their lives are void from the moment they are born and for the most part are not treated like an animal but a commodity. I know that plants are also alive but in a different way. Humans and animals draw breath. Any thoughts?

Ok...I have NOTHING against gay people but one of my friends is gay and he says that he's a Christian.

I thought that the bible condemned homosexuality, if so, how can there be a homosexual Christian.

And btw, he's not the only person I know that says this. There are gay pastors and bishops...

Or in other words, whatever happens is of God`s will? If that is so you are making a very general statement (Everything) that applies to any and all situations.

Therefore kids get molested and abused for a reason. Genocides and Atrocites happen for a reason. The fly landed on top of my head for a reason. Not only that but saying that everything happens for a reason takes the stance of "Hard Determinism," which is not compatible with free will. A contradiction to say the least.
Perhaps you don`t believe everything happens for a reason. But, I usually hear Christians subscribing to this train of thought. Is this a fair assessment of the Christian belief? In that everything happens for a reason?
