i saw it in the bible and heard someone say it. is it kinda like karma? what is it?

Fold just means times, so 10 fold is 10 times as much and so on...
As to the number 7 and its meaning; Seven is the number used is scripture extensively representing perfection or completion. The number 10 signifies the completeness of whatever is in view.

It means something like this, for good = you want a new car, you can only afford a RIO, but you get blessed with some money, now you can afford a 7 or 10 fold better car like a BMW or Maserati. For bad = You fall on a skate board, you scrape your knee. It gets worse, you go to the doctor and he says it is 7-10 times worse than you thought, it's sprang or broken, may have to amputate. In a round about way, that's what it means.

10 'times', as in multiplication.
In karma it is referring to the consequences of actions. Like, if you do a 'good' deed, you will be returned with a good deed 10 times its value. And same goes with 'bad' deeds (bad karma).

The whole passage has a lot to say... James 4:7 "Submit yourselves, then, to God", because He requires dutiful compliance and ready submission to his good and perfect will in his purpose and plan. Think about how the military requires obedience from its trained personnel. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." The Lord can give you authority to "overcome all the power of the enemy", just as He gave the apostles.(Luke 10:19) "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."(Ephesians 6:11)

if somebody is going to hit you ten fold it will be ten times as hard aka 5 tenfold is fifty because 5x10=50
