If you are a believer of the bible (which I'm not) you should know that there were two creationisms of man. The first was a botched effort and they became the castaways that were found later in the bible by Cain after he was marked and became a wanderer. The second was Adam and Eve.

It depends on what you mean by person. The way I read it, Adam and Eve were the first persons in the sense of having a spiritual soul and the faculties of reason. Prior ancestors of humans lacked that capability. Are they, then, persons? If you define a person as a rational being, no. If you merely define person materially in terms of DNA, possibly - depending on how close they match.

If You believe in Evolution, then adam and eve are fictional ( not real)
but if you believe in creation, adam was the first person created and eve was created with one of his ribs.

In my theory of intelligent evolution, Adam and Eve were the first homo sapiens who evolved from the previous humanoid form, as God gave them the ability to adapt. God still created the universe, but not like in Genesis.
So, my answer is kind of. There were monkey-like people, but not intelligent beings.

I personally think that there were.
If there were no other people, then this would mean that there was a lot of incest.
Brother and sister stuff.. Mother and son.. Father and Daughter. Aunts and cousins.
